500cc Oxygen Absorbers - Packs of (10) Scavengers (5) (50 Total Absorbers)

Arrived in a bag of five vacuum sealed 10 packs. Each 10 pack had a separate indicator and they were all pink (good). When 10 packs were opened, the bag indicator turned purple (indicating contact with oxygen), and the Oxygen absorbers that I didn't use turned warm after a while (also good). Some that I had left out in the open for a week became hard/rigid (another good sign). So it seems like these were working. I am happy with this purchase and would buy again.

I use these with my freeze dryer as I seal the food in mylar bags. They've worked well so far.

These 10-packs are such a handy increment to work with, and ensure your stored food consistently gets fresh absorbers. I'ved used close to a thousand of them - each and every pack has been very effective and none has failed to work. A good technique is filling and sealing multiple bags most of the way, keeping only a few inches open at one end to allow insertion of the O2 absorbers. Once they're all prepped, you can very quickly open a 10-pack, put however many you need in the first bag, seal it, and move on to the next. Even when doing multiple bags, for which you'll end up using the end of one 10-pack and opening another, the bottom line is still that they are exposed for a minimal amount of time before they're sealed in a bag. I figure how many I need prior to opening any, then rather than save 3 or 4, i just put an extra one or two in the last few buckets. I also prefer a broad surface hair straightener over an clothing iron. Tried both many times. Just my preference. Works great on his 7.5 mil 5-gallon bags.If you're storing a lot of food, consider the 1,000 bulk pack from his website if you can't find on amazon. I store excess, still in the factory sealed 10-packs, in 7.5 mil 1-gallon mylar bags (5-gal 7.5 milbags from discountmylarbags, 1-gal 7.5 mil bags from sorbent systems). Can fit 200 per 1-gal bag. This double seal keeps them at peak freshness essentially indefinitely.

I got 5 packs of 10 oxygen absorbers. It was nice because I needed 8 and I put the remaining two in a small mason jar. The oxygen indicators worked good and I was able to tell all of the absorbers were good. When I took the indicator out of the packaging it changed colors to let me know that there was no oxygen in the pre-packaged 10 absorbers. I stored the other 4 packs of 10 absorbers with my Food Saver for future use. Really handy.Time will tell though. When and if I need to go into my food store I sure hope they are good.

Each packet holds ten. I used to put in each vacuum seal bag. Confident they will work.

These came wrapped very well. 10 in each package. They work. As I opened a pack of 10, I'd utilize 3 and place 7 in a mason jar, lid tightened to preserve them, until I was prepared to use the rest. The jar would reseal each time I remove one. I would purchase these again....👍🏼

I don't store a lot of food items for long periods of time, but what I do tends to be costly, seldom used dried goods such as almond and coconut flours for ketogenic diet baking. That said, my biggest enemy is the oxidation of the food item. I'm sure these are good for reducing many molds and bacteria that require oxygen (not all do, some like anaerobic bacteria hate oxygen) but I KNOW they are great at keeping the consistency and taste in check with what I expect from a new bag of flour.In a nutshell, oxygen bad for storage (think rust only with food). These packs are great and convenient.

I like that these came in separately packaged units of 10. This allowed me to open just what I needed when I needed it. There are also indicators in each package that show whether oxygen has been detected, so you know whether they are good or not.

I've had better results with this brand then others. I love that they are sealed in smaller amounts. Will buy again. Thank you for a decent product. Update: The first pack of 10 worked well. As I worked through the other packs not so much. The same types of foods were being packaged up so I anticipated similar results. Unfortunately it did not happen.

Used them for long term food storage.
