Tyger Auto 6.6" Blade Running Boards Compatible with 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma | Double Cab | TG-BL2T7078 | Side Step Nerf Bars

I installed these on my 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road double cab. They arrived in four days as promised, were well packaged, and had no shipping damage. All parts were accounted for. Installation was easy, you just need a good socket wrench. Front, center, and rear brackets attach to the truck first, then you lay the boards on the brackets, attach the short bolt plates in the channel under the boards, position properly, and bolt to the brackets. All bolts, washers, and nuts are included but they give you exactly the number you need, no extras so don't misplace any of them or you'll be making a trip to the hardware store! Fit was perfect with the 2016 mounting locations. As other reviewers have stated, these install up close to the body of the truck and they look great, no gap. The textured finish provides a grippy stepping surface and that was the big selling point for me. Time will tell how they hold up to the elements but they appear to be well manufactured. They have some weight to them. I was originally looking at GoRhino with the bed liner coating but they are twice the cost and frankly I'm a lite use driver. I'm not going off road, climbing mountains, or going over boulders like in the commercials (with professional drivers) so these should hold up fine for my daily use. Customer Service: I emailed their support team and got a timely response although they didn't really answer my questions at first, I had to email again and then they replied with the information I was looking for. But overall I'm satisfied with the purchase and they were on sale when I bought them. Recommended overall and they are a quality alternative to the higher priced Go Rhino's. Update December 19, 2023. The running boards have been performing admirably after a year of use. The finish has held up with no signs of wear or rust. Still very satisfied with the purchase and have received a lot of compliments on how they look on the Tacoma! Update June 2025. Finish is still looking great, definitely would still recommend these boards.

Shipment came in on time and arrived at my house at 4:20pm. The blades were fully installed by 5:40 with no help. All parts were there and the instructions were very clear. The drill holes lined up perfectly. Tools needed was a flat head screw driver and a 13mm socket. I'd suggest using the socket extension as it is easier to tighten down. I removed the extension and 13mm head from the wrench and used it to start the screws. One suggestion is to attach the blades via the insert plates using the lock washer/regular washer + nut to the frame attachment. Tighten blades to plates completely and then tighten down the frame extensions. Great looking and built to last. We will see down the road how they hold up to Hawaii weather.

I had go rhino running boards installed on my 2016 Silverado, and wanted something similar, but different, on my new Tacoma. I saw these and loved the sleek look and how they don’t hang low which kills ground clearance. The install was super straight forward and pretty intuitive. Once these were on, not only did they look great, but they are solid! Still probably aren’t as tough as rock rails, but just by feeling these, you can tell they will take a beating and make it through without any problems. Really pumped to have found these!

It feels well built and easy to install with just one person. It looks good too. Tyger sidesteps and running boards have been surprising me. I initially thought it was junk until a customer of mine insisted on Tyger steps. The coating seems to be good too. Now too see how long it'll last.

The look nice. The only thing is the are at a difficult drop down for an easy step. But we are getting use to the spacing.

Perfect running boards. Solid steel and it’s the exact look I was wanting from a running board. Tucked up and sleek. Don’t really like the far dropped steps so if your looking for sleek this is the one. Easy to put on as well.

These were relatively easy to install and appear to be fairly high quality. Follow the instructions! The finish seems good - time will tell how they hold up. The Tyger logo on the boards really needs to go....
