There are better options in this price range. Updated
Seller / manufacturer is very responsive and replaced the item. New one does not drain the battery as fast and am still at 3 bars after 2 days, 48 hrs, of continuous use of the collar. Also the screen turning off is a power save feature. I don’t agree with the logic as it takes little to no power to show a mark on the screen that it’s powered on and having to press buttons and fumble to figure that out when you’re supposed to be able to react when your pet misbehaves is no bueno.Still one star short for me given some of the non-defect issues.Previous:The range, albeit listed at 2300ft seems to be less than the range of a 1600ft unit it replaced. The things that I really dislike about this unit:- battery on the handheld unit lasts a day between charges. My old device measured in weeks.- handheld unit is way bulky. So much for easily keeping it with you in your pocket.- handheld unit feels lighweight-the collar was charged 2 days ago and is already at 1 bar. The cheap alternative I bought lasted weeks. Not days, on a charge.I’ve also already experienced problems a few days in when the unit was turned on the screen would go off. Turning it back on and off would NOT fix this. I had to put the charge cable in to make it go one again and claim that the batteries were mostly full. So either the display shows incorrect battery readings or the hardware is funky.Certainly not a 5 star item so I’ll be the first to say so.I give 2 stars for the price range it’s in but don’t think it deserves more.

Dog Training Collar
I really didn't want to take this route to train my boy, but at 7 months old he is already strong as a bull and it has been difficult to get his attention back to me when he gets so over-excited. This collar was easy to set up and I like that it has options of tone, vibration, or shock. For the most part, I am able to use the vibration setting to get his attention back on me. The tone doesn't really do much than to perk his ears. I keep the shock at a setting that is more like static electricity (I tried it on myself) - but I very rarely use that setting. He is still very young, so I am hoping that this will facilitate the training before he gets so big that he just pulls me to where he wants to go.

Be careful
The vibrations don’t bother my baby so this may be for smaller dogs than him. He’s a Great Pyrenees, 1 year old and 95 pounds. While we were trying to see how this works my brother and dad shocked him but his eye got really big and he jumped and I didn’t like that, I’m going to give it some time and see if I can work it but like I said he is very big so that might be why. But other than that it should work because I tried it on a medium dog that’s 55 pounds and the vibrations worked very well on him he’s listening more the collar training is working.

Great range, easy to use... Works well to get your dog's attention
I have a slightly wild young man (dog) who requires a little extra to get his attention now and then. I have never used the "shock" function as the beep and vibrate do the job just find. I like that you can set the shock function to an ultra low setting, in the event of an accidental actuation. I tried the shock on setting 1 and you could barely feel it.This device works great and does everything I need.

Works!!!
I have a Texas BLue Lacey pit mix, she doesn't respond to the beep sound, but so far the vibrate option works. I have only used the shock option when she is getting aggressive and barking non stop. She is only 1 years old. I use the vibrant option when I catch her digging holes in the yard, and also when she is trying to chew my floors and carpet. So far so good, and the price is definitely a sell.

Exactly what we needed!
I love how this collar has 3 different ways of getting our dog’s attention. I prefer to use the shock function as little as possible, so the vibration function has been awesome. It gets her attention and stops the behavior. When we do need to use the shock function, we can choose how intense it is do we can use the least force possible. Overall a great value. I would buy it again and recommend to friends.

Worth It!
This is actually too big for my Chihuahua but, I still managed to put it around her neck. She’s a pretty quiet dog except, when we arrive home. She get so excited and loud. She runs all over the place. It sucks when you’re trying to bring groceries in the house. I only put it on her before I leave the house. When I return I used the beep and the vibration on 1 mode. After three times of using the collar she is learning to quiet down a lot more. I’m super happy with this purchase. I just wish they had a smaller sizes.

Super easy to set up and can't beat the price
We have a Shih Tzu that barks at people walking their dogs. We live in a dog-friendly condo complex so there are a lot of dogs. Once he gets going, all the other dogs are alerted and start barging too 😅 We use the beep sound option 99% of the time, we haven't had to shock him. So far one beep is enough or we just put the collar on him and he doesn't even bark. Our neighbor tried our collar on her dog for a day and she ended up purchasing one too.
