Stronger metal clamp may dent-don’t over tighten
I got this clamp and a different plastic one to see how they compare while I retipped 2 different cues. This one placed 2nd because while it clamped more tightly than the plastic, it was almost too tight. Also, the cap that holds the top is a tiny cup like a little hat. It held a thicker US tip 14mm but not as intended. It worked but because this cap is for a smaller diametered 9-9.5mm snooker tip diameter it didn’t center it. It’s still ok and worked fine to hold the tip in place, neither tool centered it but the metal one would have for a smaller tip. So this one still clamps well on on a thicker US cue tip 13-14mm but almost clamp too tightly a left a small dent where the clamp holds the shaft behind the ferrule. I can adjust this but I underestimated its holding clamping power. This one will likely last longer as the other has an elastic and plastic and this has only metal. The plastic may not last forever (except in landfills) but it didn’t over-clamp and held the position of my new tip centre better and was overall a better choice. BUT, this one has double the clamping power so it also gets 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Works well
I purchased this for my brother, and he is happy with it.

It works.
Fast delivery Performance as advertised. Don't pay for something you can do yourself. Prep the tip base and prep the ferrule base. Use approved adhesive for the application. This works better than the ones with the rubber band.

DO NOT PURCHASE EVEN IF GIVEN FOR FREE
trash trash trash.. ruined my brand new snooker when changing from the stock tip to an elk master.. n this thing put scratches all along my shaft and now that us all i feel n therefore think about when im down on a shot.. maybe cheap now.. but ull lose that good deal on the money feeling quick after u have to either buy a whole brand new or find someone who can bring ur cue back to life n then u have to bother with sending it back n yada yada.. so spend 5 dollars now only to be forced to spend 100× more than that in time spent n extra money wasted or DON'T DONT DONT BE TEMPTED.. ITS TRASH.. the 67 dollar one stop tip shaper/ changer is the best thing out for tip replacement.. it might be pricier than the 5 dollar tools that makes u think u won the lotto but then have to spend hundreds more $ on either a new stick or for professional repair work.. DON'T BUY

functional, but there are far better deals to find
Decent product, for what it is. Use fairly straightforward. Nixed stars for a few reasons though. First, it left afew small nicks & scratches on my cute. Second, it the price here turned out to buy be agood deal. After ordering this, i stopped into a local Sports shop who claim to be some sort of Authority. Anyhow, they offer a package deal for $12 that includes 2 of these (100% identical), New tips, cement, chalks, and a few strips of felt to protect your cue from this clamp.

Bad machining
Unuseable the way it came. Had to file the tip end to the proper angle before it would seat a new tip to the cue. As it came it was machined to about a 97 to 98 degree angle instead of a 90 degree angle to seat and hold the new tip flat to the cue. (11mm tip.)

Works as advertised!

Put a new tip on but I had to look up the picture to see how it fit on the cue. Some directions would have been helpful.

It functioned okay. But I had to file down the casting burrs on rounded stick clamp part. I tried to put it on and it scratched the heck out of my cue end. I didn't notice right away other wise I wouldn't have used it at all. I guess you get what you pay for with this kind of thing.
