The Best in Christmas Music Complete

As my review title states, this book has fantastic arrangements for advanced pianists. I took piano lessons for 12 years and have been playing off and on for 25 years, and I even found some parts of these songs to be challenging the first time through. If you are a beginner then you will want to look at the Easy Piano version of this book instead.Again, the arrangements are exceptional. You'll find it won't matter what key the songs are in, because there are so many accidentals throughout that add so much character to the music. As other reviews state, the religious pieces are definitely easier, and this is where I deduct one star from the rating. I don't mind that they are easier to play, I just think that most of them are too short and to the point, and I would appreciate a bit more interpretation in these pieces. There are other books, such as Christmas Potpourri, that serve that purpose, though.I really enjoyed playing these songs this Christmas, so much so that I might just play them throughout the year anyway! Highly recommended for those who can play at this level!

This was the book my daughter used for her Christmas works this year. She likes the book but only gives it 4 stars because she does not agree with all the dynamics as written. I told her she can change them. She told me she did. haha Good for her.This book contains pieces that go from intermediate to advanced. She will likely be using the book for the next few years. Her favorite pieces include, "O, Come All Ye Faithful" and "Hark, The Herald Angels Sing".Personally, I like listening to a clunky song turn into beautiful music.

This book boasts a great collection of songs. However, it is worth noting that the difficulty level and style of the arrangements vary dramatically. Some of them are evidently advanced solo arrangements intended for advanced pianists, while some of the songs are simpler (moderate difficulty) and more straight forward. If you're looking for a book entirely of advanced Christmas solos, you're better off checking out his other book ("It's Christmas") first. This, however, is still a nice collection.

This book is definitely for intermediate to advanced piano players. Most of the songs are familiar. I wished they would have provided a ring binder so we could flip through the pages easily. We would have to copy the pages of the music to play a particular song. This is why I gave this product -> 4 stars.

The Kindle/e-book format of this title is rather difficult to read. It should have been scanned at a higher resolution. I'm still on the fence regarding music on e-readers -- the Kindle is obviously too small to handle a full page of music, but even the iPad seems undersized, especially if the margins on the original paper version are kept in place.Readability aside, the music from this book is refreshingly challenging and fun to play -- and to hear. If the scans are updated to include better visibility, easily a 5-star book.

I bought this item as a gift. I did not read the description clearly because it is for the advanced musician. I have hopes my husband will be able to play it. The item arrived on time and it was a good product for the price.

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but it was much harder arrangements than I was expecting. The selection is good. Just check the music to see if it is your level before you buy.
