These were great during our humid/hot Summer.This was the first time trying out riding tights - I'll admit, I was a bit nervous. However, the humidity was terrible, so I decided to pull the trigger on these. My usual breech are the Cadence by Irideon - these are compression breeches, which I love so much (I swear, I look 10lbs thinner in them). Additionally, I have long legs, so these fit me the best. Anyway...First impressions...The tights are just what they are, tights - very thin. No compression, at all, which scared me to death. However, I found the waistband very comfortable. Additionally, they did not give the impression they would be very grippy. I had this image in my head that I'd be sliding around in the saddle.In action...When arriving at the barn, I noticed I wasn't as hot as I was in my irideons. However, riding was interesting as they did not grip like my irideons. After a few rides, I did get used to them. In fact, I started to appreciate the lack of grip they provided, as I felt freer in the saddle and they forced me to keep myself in the saddle - which i think helped my riding.Fit...As stated before, I'm a taller rider. the length is perfect for me. However, they fit larger than expected - not terribly so, but I'd order a size down next time. The downside is that these don't make me look like I lost 10lbs like my irideons do.I gave these a 4 star rating because I only wore them for a few months. While they held up / washed up nicely, I cannot comment on longevity yet. However, these will be my "Summer" breeches!

Wow!!!! As a full figured rider, it's really hard to find pants that fit well and are comfortable. These are awesome!!!!! They kind of have the feeling of yoga pants. Nice..!!! I wasn't sure what to expect of the grip in the seat, and while it's not super tacky, it's not slippery either. I would hope you depend more on your seat and balance than the lining of your pants anyway ;)I put them on today just to try them on, and I'm laying here writing this review because they're comfy and I don't want to take them off!!

I live in Arizona, these tights are very comfortable, and do seem to keep me cooler than others I've worn. These are very, very comfortable. I had worn mine twice, pulled them out to wear them for the 3rd time and noticed the right outside leg sitching was literally coming apart. I was running late, so decided to go ahead and wear them and then check into returning them after the ride. Unfortunately, we chose to ride in the desert that day -- turns out they don't stand up to "prickly" bushes at all. I didn't expect them to be bullet proof, but I also was disappointed to have the stiching give way after two rides. I've now "damaged" the fabric, so will not be trying to return them. I don't know if I ended up with a defective pair, or if this is normal for the brand. Beware!!!

Now retired from the show ring me and my miniature horses go on long trail walks. I needed something that would help keep me cool as well as something I could ride in, if one of my friends with a full size horse was with and offered to switch. These tights are very soft and comfortable allowing me to walk and climb hills with lots of movement. I do feel cooler when wearing them and they seem to dry quicker than normal pants after walking through streams. The cute grippy carrots are great help for staying in the saddle and of course you can always appreciate having pockets large enough for a cellphone.I personally have been hand washing mine after reading a few reviews saying there was problems with picking of the fabric. I haven't have any issues with pilling or picking and I'm careful to keep Velcro away from the tights. They are a bit delicate it feels so I will also make sure not to be going through very brushy trails when wearing them. I would still recommend them for all around use and they are made in the USA!

I have these in grape and shale and love them, so I ordered them in tan as well for a more traditional look. Bad idea! The tan are see through. You could see my underwear (not a panty line, but the actual underwear itself, and I was wearing a light color). Also, I have a dark birthmark on the back of my leg and it was clearly visible through my pants. Eeek!The other colors have been great -- they are breathable, grip well, and are about as flattering as spandex pants can possibly be. The wide waistband helps keep them up without making them too tight at the waist. While they're obviously very form fitting, they aren't constricting and are very comfortable. They have little side pockets that fit my phone (iPhone 5s -- not sure you could get a 6 in there) or gloves. They hold up well to riding and washing. The tag says to line dry them, but mine have done fine in the dryer on low.For size comparison, I am small in these and either a 2 Short or a 4 Petite in Gap/Old Navy/Banana Republic/JCrew and a 28 Petite/Ankle in AG Jeans. I'm 5'5" with a 27 inch waist, 37 inch hips, and a 30 inch inseam for leggings/skinny jeans/breeches. I find Kerrits run pretty true to size. I ordered based on their size chart on their website and it suggested the correct size for me.

These are nice tights, but I can't imagine what the person who would fit in these tights might look like. I'm the classic "apple" plus size shape - all my weight in my midsection. My usual fit problem is that things fit in the waist but are too baggy in the hips and seat or they fit in the hips and seat but are way too tight in the waist. But these tights, in size 2X, were HUGE in the waist. Seriously. Like half again the circumference I needed. Even going down a size would not have been sufficient and more than that would be too tight in the hips and thighs. I returned these tights and did not order a different size to try.

I love Kerrits and am very familiar with fit etc . My only disappointment with these "poppy" colored ones would be that they look much redder in the picture and when you see them compared to my gloves , which are a true red , they are almost rust colored

Great quality tight! Fit well. Love the grip on seat and thigh. Lightweight - suitable for summer of milder spring/fall.

Great tights - lightweight but not at all see though. And just the right amount of grip I was looking for!
