This unit seems fine. I'm no lock expert so couldn't tell you what components to really look at, but the unit was easy to set the combo and everything works smoothly. It includes a clip to attach to your seat tube but I didn't bother with it because the cable is short enough to just wrap around under my seat without it being in the way. That said, glad I went with the 4ft length. I usually keep my bike in a garage but wanted this to park on the street for quick errands around town (Denver) and such. You'd probably want a u-lock type if you intend to keep your rig on the streets all the time, but you also probably know this already.One gripe was the product had a strong plastic off-gassing that was noticeable for a couple weeks (still kind of smell it if it's closer to my face). Since it's for outdoor use I'm not too worried about it, but it's a strong and persistent enough odor I wouldn't feel comfortable using or storing this in my home for any length of time.

Certainly not met for keeping away serious thieves as it could be cut easily but strong enough to prevent a crime of opportunity. Great buy.

Solid construction

Very good lock for quick on and off of bike.

This is the second one we purchased. The first one we use in the traditional manner for our bike. This one we are using to lock up our cooler on our boat. Works great and easy to use.

I’ve literally used this twice on my kids’ bike and lock is completely jammed. Would appreciate a refund even if I am out of the window but a couple of weeks. Barely used this and will have to break and buy a new lock.

Solid little lock with the perfect bracket for mounting on the handle bars of my electric scooter. Very please with this purchase.

No lock is impervious to a thief but this is one of the better security devices for the money. Depending on the value of your bike, a layered defense is the best option. GPS, alarm, two types of locks and location are all to be taken into consideration. Bikes are very easy to steal, often less than a minute.

In less than 2 months the passcode stop working with my son’s bike locked in. I took a photo of the passcode before locking it to remember it when I first use it, but yesterday it stopped working. I read the 1 star reviews and there are many like me having the same issue.Therefore, I borrow a simple common saw and I was able to cut it in less than 60 seconds.I hope I get a full refund.
