Charlotte's Web by White, E. B., DiCamillo, Kate (2006) Hardcover Hardcover

I had a lot of fun reading this. I had never read it growing up, but had always seen it on the shelves of every library I had ever visited. It was one of those books you always knew about, but had never got around to reading. Probably because of the silly movie.Not long ago I was talking to my 8 year old granddaughter. She mentioned that she had never heard of it, which surprised me. LikeI said earlier, “Charlotte’s Web” and E. B. White books were always a library staple.So I decided to share it with her and found an untouched copy in our public library. My wish was to read it with her but she does not live with us so I decided to video it instead.That was fun. I’m not an expert on videos but managed to get all 22 chapters posted to the video site so that she can watch it.The movie leaves out some fun moments in Wilbur’s life. There are also some sweet, tender moments between Wilbur and his friends that the book captures much better than the movie.I think that it is a shame that so many beloved stories, like “Charlotte’s Web” have been reduced to movies. I ask everyone to share and old favorite book with a child.Read every day, read for fun!

I purchased this book for my great niece, she needs to read everyday so I thought this would be a great classic store. Well until she actually read it , she love the book :)

It was a great read when I was a kid, and it's also a great read for my kids.

Classic book! Got to help my daughter fall in love with reading!

I was surprised to be able to get this classic story in a hardcover version for the price. My entire school decided to utilize this text for a period of a month. The story itself is filled with many appropriate life lessons. The book itself was a better quality than I had expected.

This was my favorite book growing up I purchased for my goddaughter she was happy to receive.
