Dynasty Hardware Heritage Door Lever Privacy Set, Aged Oil Rubbed Bronze, Contractor Pack (5 Pack)

We replaced all our old dated brass hardware with these Dynasty Heritage design handles (some were the privacy, some, like in the picture don't lock, and we bought a couple of the "dummy" ones for French doors too) and are really impressed with them. It was great how they easily switch from left to right (just read the instructions, the wife tells the husband). They look great and open and close great too. I even contacted the company with a question and they got back to me within a day, so customer service is excellent too. I bought the 5 pack 2 months ago. Just now getting around to installing them because we've been moving. I installed 2 with no problems, however when i tried reversing the handles on the other 3, one side of each of them will not come off to reverse...the little button you push in to take the handle off will not push in, tried multiple times with someone else helping pull as i push in the pin but they just will not disengage. So now i'm unable to use them. I like the handles and since it's been 2 months, I am now unable to return them because the return window has closed.UPDATE: I kept trying and finally figured out that the lock mechanism needs to be turned in the right direction for the lever to disengage to remove. So now I am able to finish reversing them and installing them.

Product appears well made. Nice and decent weight. All screws are provided. Only problem for me was the plate where the bolt comes in and out. It has square corners and does not fit the doors. All doors I have seen so far have rounded corners. I am not sure why Dynasty could not have made the corners round. I still tried to install two. Plate would not sit well and became crooked as one of the corner tries to go into round corner pushing other three corners out. I could have rounded the corners by grinding, but there are several interior doors I need to put this on. Don't have time.

Ordered these to replace my old brass knobs and these were great!! It really makes your doors look so modern.

Pretty nice looking for the price. I was skeptical but they’re very nice. I would buy again. The only thing I’m not in love with is the way the way the lock functions from outside the door. It’s not the type that has a pinhole rather it has a long slit that you turn from outside to unlock in case someone gets locked in. It makes it a little too easy to access the room.

Although item allows for drive in installation, item does not come with required drive in latch collar (an important fact not detailed in the product description). This made my customer experience a bad one because I now have to decide whether to return or contact manufacturer. Get it right, please!

Keep in mind that these utilize a square notch pattern, not the newer slightly rounded. All of my doors in a brand new construction would not fit these. I did not want to notch out 12 doors and 12 jams so I opted to return these and buy a different brand.

Great build quality. Standard installation. Beautiful finish. Privacy lock is unlockable from the outside with a flathead screwdriver, which is perfect for those times you accidentally lock the door from inside before leaving.

Exactly what we expected. Easy to install, attractive and for an added bonus, they were delivered to our door within 24 hours!!!
