Light & Vision..!!
After owning and using my new SeeZoom lighted 3x/45x magnifier for a month or so, I can say I'm very pleased with this unit. It's lightweight and well-balanced, even with the 3 AAA batteries installed; and the shape of the handle feels natural in my hand- which should help to prevent any accidental dropping. (One detail: The surface of the handle is smooth~ if it were slightly 'pebbly', IMO, it would be an even better unit, grip-wise..)The strength of the main lens itself works fine for me (sometimes in combo with my regular glasses- but that's my poor vision, and not the unit's shortcoming) and the light's more than adequately bright for normal everyday use. The small high-magnification lens inset into the main lens is VERY strong: especially helpful for Rx bottles and DVD labels, with their annoying micro-printing..Like anything else you buy new, there's a small learning curve involved as to how EXACTLY to hold and point the unit so you get the maximum benefit for your own personal needs, but it's user-friendly: you should have it in no time.In conclusion, I'm glad I didn't have to buy- and discard- a few useless units before I found this one. I won't be needing to shop for another~ other than in the unlikely event that I drop and break this one.. and, actually, it feels like the build is robust enough that it probably could take an accidental fall and still function. Overall, a nice piece of gear, and I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase.

A must for cross word puzzles
Bought for my mil as her eye sight isn’t great! She lives in a nursing home and doesn’t wanna bother her roommate at night when she can’t sleep to do crossword puzzles and she loves the light. It just gives enough brightness so she can see and the level of the magnifier is great as well I would highly recommend lightweight easy to use!

Good product, limited future use though
Reading glasses/progressive lenses in my normal glasses give me headaches, so I bought this because I needed to be able to take a closer look at the kanji in some of the Japanese books I'm reading in order to look them up in the online dictionary. Works great - when you're looking at single characters/small groups of characters in Japanese and Korean, where my reading speed is still pretty slow. And the built-in light is a nice touch. When I tried to use it while reading small print in English in another book, I found the lens distortion at the edges drastically slowed down my native English reading speed (where I'm capable of "grabbing" and understanding larger chunks of text at one go). So I have to get a larger rectangular magnifying glass or Fresnel lens for that. Other than that limitation, it's a nice useful gadget.

Very nice and useful Magnifier for zooming in on printed photos or books.
This is a very nice and useful magnifying glass. I needed something to enlarge photos of paintings in large photo books I purchased recently to see detail. Kind of like when you zoom in on a photo on your Iphone or laptop.Previously I bought another magnifier that had 5x power, but it was too much enlargement and the unit distorted the picture. This one has 3x magnification which is just about right for zooming in on printed photos. I don't see any distortion at the edges or center of the glass. And the glass diameter is a perfect size. The incorporated LED lights give just the right amount of light or the unit can be used with LED's turned off.A good deal for less than $20.00RecommendedBobztEngineer

SEEING Is Believing !!
This is a wonderful magnifying glass!!! It's not a flimsy toy.. on the contrary, it has a good, sturdy weight to it, feels solidly built, and fits comfortably in either hand. The large lens provides impressive magnification satisfying most needs, & giving a bright, crystal clear image! The smaller spot magnifier lens, gives huge magnification, & with the built-in light all things are clearly visible. With it, I was even able to find where an undetermined insect or spider had stung or bitten my hand, as it clearly showed two miniscule puncture marks that were absolutely undetectable to my unaided eyes, alone. I prefer other uses for it, of course, and there are many, but verifying the reason for the pain & swelling in my hand & wrist was very valuable!! It can add to our interest and understanding of anything we choose to look at with this magnifying glass. Since my hubby seems to have 'adopted' this one, I plan to buy a second one, to keep within arm's reach, from my favorite recliner chair, to have always 'at the ready' for whenever wanted, for whatever purpose. We both really love It !!!

Good Lighting & Magnification
One of the “joys” of getting older is that tiny print becomes difficult to read at any distance and reading in a dimly lit room is all but impossible. My husband broke the handle off of his old magnifying glass so I immediately ordered this one as a replacement. It’s challenging to get the 3 batteries into the hand grip, and the battery cover seems to fall off easily if you bump or drop the device. The tiny spotlight works well. The glass seems to have been installed backwards though, because the magnification is definitely crisper if you turn the device over with the light facing away from the page rather than shining on the page. Looking through the glass with the light facing towards the page causes the print to be slightly fuzzy. Not a deal breaker, but definitely a design flaw.
