We purchased this for our daughter, who is currently on Accutane, and the dryness has been intense, especially on her lips. They were constantly dry, cracked, and uncomfortable, no matter what we tried. This balm made a noticeable difference very quickly. It provided immediate relief and has helped tremendously with healing and preventing further cracking. Her lips look and feel much better, and she’s finally comfortable again. It’s not overly thick or greasy, but it still offers serious hydration and protection. You can tell it’s formulated for more than just everyday dryness; it actually works on severely chapped lips. A little goes a long way, and it’s now something we keep on hand at all times. Highly recommend, especially for anyone dealing with extreme dryness from medications like Accutane. I have been dealing with a psoriasis flare up on my lips and around my mouth for at least a month. I have been miserable trying to heal the dry, cracked patches that would peel daily. It was painful and uncomfortable and on top of that, it made me feel incredibly self conscious. I have been using aquaphor, which has helped a LOT, but it couldn’t clear it up completely, and the patches always returned. I was desperate. This stuff works. I used it once overnight and I’m not kidding, my lips (AND the dry patches around my mouth) were healed when I woke up. In fact, my lips are even healthier than they were before the flare. It doesn’t smell or taste good, but I literally do not care, seeing as how well it works. I will definitely be keeping this in my nighttime routine as a holy grail product, and continuing to use aquaphor throughout the day now that my lips are restored. I’m not sure what sorcery this is. I don’t know what is in this stuff that makes it better than anything else out there, including prescription. I have never suffered with lip flares of any kind before this episode. I have been struggling with it for a month now and have tried just about everything else to no avail. Not sure why this is such a well kept secret. I’ve never heard of it, and even after many exhaustive searches, this was kind of hidden in the search results. You’d think something this good would be well known and be a first line hit. I guess I don’t know very much, but I do know one thing - IT WORKS AND WORKS FAST. My lips weren’t cracked, but they had a hard shiny shell that no moisture could penetrate. Beyond the lip line, there was an itchy, scaly red rash that burned and seemed worse at the end of the day. The corners were crusty but no evident blisters. I was losing my ish over this. My doctor prescribed cortisone jelly and it did nothing. Thankfully, I found Dr. Dan’s. I waited by the door for Amazon to show up. When they finally delivered, I couldn’t get to it fast enough. Within 30 minutes of applying it for the first time, I am feeling massive relief already. My lips feel soft like that hard shell has dissolved. The flakiness is no where to be found and the stinging, itching, tingling, burning sensation has calmed the eff down. I have high hopes for continued relief, but even just this much was worth the price and the wait. I am a new Dr.Dan Fan.

I’ve never written an Amazon review, but this is truly a miracle product. I have very dry skin and in the winter it gets even worse. My lips were flaking off, flaky, and were in pain and this immediately within two days of using it transformed them back to normal. I’ve sent this product to everybody I know. I’ve tried everything from super expensive to this being on the lower end price wise. Ingredients wise there’s only three ingredients plus it has hydrocortisone which helps with inflammation. I can’t say enough good things.

This lip balm contains petroleum jelly, beeswax, and mineral oil, but unlike traditional petroleum jelly, it does not have that sticky or heavy feel. It goes on very smoothly and coats the lips evenly, which I really appreciated. It does contain hydrocortisone, though I honestly cannot say that I noticed a specific effect from that ingredient. That said, it did help improve my severely chapped lips and did not cause any additional peeling or sloughing, which is something I am always cautious about. My only real complaint is the smell, or lack of a pleasant one. I cannot quite pinpoint it, but it has a slightly medicinal scent mixed with the natural smell of beeswax. There are no added fragrances, which may be a plus for some people. I only notice the smell when applying it directly from the stick, and I cannot smell it once it is on my lips.

Dry, crusty lips EVEN with exfoliating- GONE with this. I tried so many other brands, balms, masks, etc. Did deep search for reviews and found this and for this price, LOVE IT. It feels a bit thicker than regular lip balm. I exfoliate then put this on, drive to work and then apply stain or lipstick and no crusty or dry lips. Better than ANY expensive products I bought from Sephora or ulta.

I bought Dr. Dan’s Cortibalm Lip Balm after my lips became extremely irritated and started peeling. I think it was a combination of cold weather and a reaction to my toothpaste, because the irritation even spread slightly around the edges of my lips. Regular lip balms were not helping at all. I applied a small amount once or twice, and by the next day my lips were already much better. The redness and irritation calmed down quickly. It’s also very easy to apply and you only need a tiny amount. One thing to keep in mind is that this is more of a treatment than an everyday lip balm since it contains a mild corticosteroid. Because of that, the tube is small, but if you only use it when needed it should last a long time.

The best lip balm ever. Period. I'm on accutane 20mg (daily) for the last few months and in general have always had very dry lips cuz I'm always licking them making it worse. Ive tried all best ones in the market- sisley, clea de peau, rms, by terry, la roche posay, burt bees, jack black, blistex etc you name it and I must have tried it. However, this one is the best of them all. It really helps with chapped peeling lips. I normally use this and then use my other lips balms all through the day. The only negative is the taste/smell. I don't like that one bit but it's a tiny price to pay for healthy lips.

Best product I consulted three doctors to the same problem but still got no relief but this lip balm works like miracle I attached before and after picture that how this works wonderfully .

This is the ultimate solution for anyone who couldn't find a cure for their cracked lips which just wouldn't heal no matter what you did. I even visited dermatologists whose recommendations didn't work for me. The price is totally worth for me because I was at the verge of giving up because nothing else worked for me.
