This is a fine book with 200 stories with easy wording and nice paper quality it's is worth more than what it costs! 💙

200 tales and 10 children's legends, a total of 210 fairy tales that are exciting to read. The fundamental difference between Anderson's fairy tales and Grimm brothers' is the nature of them. While Anderson's are more magical, enchanted and sometimes too philosophical, Grimm's are quite violent and are actually grim. Reading is easy in spite of the large volume as because it follows the repeating structure of fairy tales narration. For example- the maid went to the well and said something, the well asked the maid to go to the barn to say something, the maid then went to the barn and said something and she was directed to another one and so on. Also, fairy tales should not be thought suitable for children in general and especially the Grimm's one as quite a number of tales contain murder, torture and punishment. Instead Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tales can be better suited to children but that one is not at all as exciting as this one.

The Complete Grimm's Fairy Tales is a collection of truly immortal stories that are riveting and exhilarating to immerse yourself into. Every story has a dark tinge to it but the magic overpowers all.

Delivery - As per schedule. Delivered Product - Intact and well-managed. Book - Fine paper quality and easy, crisp font. Content - A fine collection for literature lovers, writers, creators, as the stories offer an exhaustive spectrum in terms of reading and writing.

Book is 5 star, it's pure magic for lovers of stories and fairy tales. The printing quality and cover was also good. It's the packaging that was an issue. I ordered this with couple of other products ( a speaker and a bag of cornflakes) it was all put in a slender box( similar to a tv box) , there was lots of extra space and the edge of the book was damaged. Usually Amazon takes proper care of the books, but this was disappointing.

Given that I ordered three books (The Complete Sherlock Holmes, Grimm's Fairy Tales & Hans Christian Fairy Tales), they should've provided a proper packaging, rather they sent it in a paper bag. Imagine books weighing near about 1kg in a loose paper bag! Out of the three books that I ordered, only one of them was in a perfect condition (Grimm's Fairy Tales). HCA Fairy Tales had bent edges and SH's box's state was not that great. Regarding the quality of the books; they aren't great, but fair for the price. The books has a Yellowish tint to the papers. The Book Design in itself is Great. I loved the Cover Page and the Back Cover. The spine of the book is also amazing. The font size doesn't bother me at all, rather I prefer smaller-fonts over normal fonts, so it wasn't an issue for me. If this bothers you even a little, you can refer to the images attached. The book comes with a some lovely illustrations to support the story, which is fair, given that this is a book for young readers. The Chapter-Title Styling is lovely too. They really thought this through! The only let down is the paper quality, but I can make do with that. Given the price of the product, you have to sacrifice somewhere and paper-quality is what you loose. These were the first Finger Print Publication books I purchased and the books turned out to be really pretty. Hoping to buy more from from them in the future. Upvote if the review helps. Cheers!

This 1922 free kindle book contains more than two dozen delightful short tales by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. Most of the stories are well-known, but told with details that differ with what we are familiar with, such as Rumpelstiltskin, Cinderella, and Hansel and Grethel. Many of the tales were new to me. For example, in Goose-Girl, a beautiful princess was betrothed to a prince and sent to him together with an evil servant girl. The story tells how the servant gained control over the princess and married the prince. The princess was then forced to work as a goose-girl. The story tells how the deceit was discovered and the princess married the prince. The story has in it a plot line from the biblical book Esther where the king asks the evil person (Haman/servant girl) what should be done to the person who did such and such. All of the stories are fun to read.

Really cool to see the original translations of these dark little fairy tales from youth. Hard to believe the dark nature of these things when they're unfiltered, and raw like this. A great find!

Bought for Xmas as we love the series. Watch occassionally when we're in the mood...gd quality
