Youper Boys Youth Padded Sliding Shorts with Soft Protective Athletic Cup for Baseball, Football, Lacrosse

These are great sliding shorts for boys baseball. My son is 8, approx 65 lb, and wears these in a size small. They fit him really well and he says they are comfortable. They look identical to the Franklin Sports youth sliding shorts that you can also find on Amazon, but were a few $ less. The shorts are made with quality. My son really likes the black and the padding is substantial enough to protect his bony hips. I wasn't sure of what the "soft cup" was, but now that we have it it provides the same protection as my old junior high school baseball cup that was harder than the school desks we sat in. The soft cup that came with the shorts is a bit more flexible, but still very strong (I know because we did a couple nut-shots while he was wearing the cup).

We purchased this pair of underwear and cup for my 6 year old to use during hockey. He hasn’t complained about wearing it at all and seems to be comfortable in it, although not while sitting in the car so we wait until we have arrived to get the cup in place. The extra small size is perfect for his slim body. For comparison- he usually wears a slim 6/7.

Exactly as described. Bought these in a med for my 11 year old baseball player and he loves them. He is a smaller 11 and they fit him perfect. By soft protective cup as opposed to hard just means that the cup is made of a really tough paper like material. It feels as it will last for a while. It's tough enough to protect but has more give than the standard plastic cup. You can always use a different cup or replace it if you do not like it.

My son is 8 and small. We’ve tried other cups but none of them for right. He’s a catcher for his baseball team so we bought it for that purpose, however it was so comfortable he even wore it skating! He wears a size 6 and the small fit great!

I bought these bc of other people’s descriptions that their children fiddled less while wearing these than with a regular cup. That was definitely true. I noticed a difference and even my 11yo son said he had to adjust it way less than the other.

Just as described, fits my 5year old, he’s on the slim side.They did come with some marking, on the padded side. Must have been from production .....I didn’t care about it cause I’ll wash them and they are worn under pants.

I ordered 2 pair of these for my oldest son and they have survived a full spring little league season & select ball as well & I fully expect them to take us thru All Stars! My son loves the fit, there’s plenty of padding without the bulk, and the cup pocket has stayed intact thru it all. We play ball 7 days a week and my kids wear cups even to batting practice! I originally purchased these to see if they’d hold up and to replace some other higher dollar brands that never quite fit properly and fell apart quicker than they should have. I’m getting ready to order more!
