Fits and works great on PIXEL 2XL
I recently purchased a PIXEL 2XL phone and experienced a lot of problems with the included 3.5mm / USB-C adapter during phone calls when using my Bose headset (significant audio distortion etc).I ordered this adapter as a replacement.I am happy to report that it works well, and supports clear two-way audio during calls. The dongle itself is as light weight and compact as the original Google unit

Have had this for a week, and it has problems...
I bought this after the adapter cord that came with my Pixel 2 finally gave up due to flexion (after 6 months...). In the past two days, I've had multiple cases of having crystal clear music turning to completely loud static. When this happens I also notice that there's a massive static buildup around the wire. I can only imagine that this thing is poorly insulated or something. The fact that I can feel an electrostatic charge makes it potentially dangerous because this plugs into a phone with lithium battery cells.

Works on Razer Phone (2017)
I've owned this for about a week now. At the time of purchase, there were very few Type C to 3.5mm adapters that specified working with the Razer Phone (2017). I took a chance and can confirm that it works fine with my Razer Phone. Left/right audio works, and microphone work fine. For fun, I also tried it with my Xiaomi Mi Mix (2016) and it works on that as well. I say "for fun" because the Xiaomi Mi Mix has a built-in headphone jack anyway, so no real need for a Type C to 3.5mm adapter.Perhaps the most useful piece of information I have for Razer Phone owners (and other phones that have this "problem"), is the dimensions of the sheath/strain relief. I'm actually not sure what it's technically called, but it's the metal/plastic/stiff part that sits flush against your phone when you have the cable plugged in.The original Razer Phone has a sheath/strain relief of 11.7 mm x 6.18 mm. This was too large for the USB-C cutout on the phone case I'm using, which is my main reason for purchasing this adapter. Before purchasing this, I didn't actually know whether or not it would fit, so I took a chance. Luckily, it's a lot smaller at 10.29 mm x 5.93 mm, and fits my phone case fine.

Loss of volume control on Bose headset when connected to apple ipad 11” pro.
I use this product to connect my Bose in-ear noise canceling headset to my 11” apple iPad Pro (which no longer has a separate 3.5mm audio input). The Bose device is specific to apple products, allowing for volume control and pause — using buttons on the cord. While this Adapter provides an inexpensive solution, the volume controls do not work. I am still able to pause a video with the headset button.

Almost works right
Works on Essential phone****UPDATE 1/9/2019*****Just noticed a soft hissing sound that starts when you click play on a song. You don't notice it too much when you're playing louder music but it's there throughout. The original adapter that came with my Essential phone did not have this issue. Come on

Do not purchase.
Purchased two units to connect to my new iPad Pro (11in screen) - watching movies during flights with my Bose noise canceling headset. Had noise distortion with both units. Bought the apple USB-C to headphone jack. Zero noise distortion. Not a good purchase.

Worse adaptor quits working after 2 months
Product worked great for 2 months and then became defective. I would return if I could waste of money
