IKN 4Ply Yellow Pearl Strat HSS Pickguard Guitar BackPlate Set for Standard Strat Modern Style Guitar Part

WOW, amazing quality for the price. Wanted to replace an ugly white pickguard on my fender strat. Debated on purchasing a $45 Fender brand pickguard or get this one for only $10. Honestly, I have purchased Fender OEM parts in the past and let me tell you this pickguard is every bit as good as an OEM fender product. Buy this one and take your wife out to lunch with the leftover $35 or buy some other cool guitar parts... :-)Not all the holes lined up 100%, but honestly, it's not a big deal. pickups were all spot-on. One thing I did notice was that some of the holes in the pickguard were not countersunk. Not a big deal and honestly it's easier to countersink a screw than try and find a replace screw.

I got the pearl pickguard, and it's very nice. I'll have to update later with my comments on how it wears, but out of the packaging, it looks very nice and it is well protected. There are not one, but TWO layers of protective plastic that have to be removed, and the second one is hard to see and remove, but it looks really dull until you remove both. I was able to fit this on a a Squire Classic Vibe Strat without any modifications, and while a couple of the holes were slightly misaligned, it didn't prevent it from being installed, and I didn't have to do any modifications. The pearl looks incredibly nice for the money, and has a really nice, 3D iridescent look to it. Don't know how it fits others, but this seems to be a good fit and cheap upgrade for the Indonesian made Strats, at least the CVs.

Similar to previous reviews...The holes do not align well. I put this on my mexican strat and its like... dude. Buy a strat and copy where the holes are and drill them in the same spot. Its not that hard!I had to file some of the plate down to make enough play to get it to fit nicely.I am happy with the price but the quality makes me think whoever is making this thing has no idea whats up.Additional small detail. There was only one hole on the left side for the humbucker pickup by the bridge. Why is this? There should be two. The H pickup does not lay flat because it doesnt have the second screw on the left to level it out. Its affordable but the more i think about this the more i wonder what the deal is with the manufacturers.

I bought this to use on a Peavey Raptor Plus which seemed to have the same style pickguard minus one hole. It doesn't fit. Just thought this was worth mentioning. We play peavey basses and old guitars and they "kind of" meet the specs of tele, strat , and P bass, but don't in certain ways so always check. One of the biggest issues with old USA peaveys are replacing the tuners. Nothing standard fits. I was able to replace the reactor(tele copy) and raptor(strat copy) but you have to ream old holes out. Not with old peavey usa foundation basses? No tuners fit. The holes in the headstock are huge. USA Peaveys will fit nice in Fender hard cases though. Old USA peaveys are about 1/4th to 1/10th of the price of Fender and just as good. (Reactor, Raptor, etc)

I had purchased a HSS pickguard from another (popular) vendor. The Humbucker slot read 68.5mm when I received it; thus my covered Humbucker would not fit with out some degree of filing the edges. I did not wish to go that route, so I purchased this pickguard which stated 70mm. In fact the covered Humbucker (Seth Lover) fit nicely. I will say that the Vol/Tone holes were again a tad small, but all is well and I am Happy. Be cautious of products that do not state actual sizing (esp. from China). You may get something close but no cigars. This is the second time that I have made this mistake (my fault now) of not following this rule on products.

I bought this to spruce up my MIM Strat. This looks good and appears to be of good quality. Unfortunately, the one thing I forgot to check before placing the order was the pickup adjustment screw holes. My Strat has three for the humbucker, two on top and on on the bottom. This pickguard only has two. Also, the humbucker hole is more squared where my original pickguard has much more rounded corners. Sure I could easily drill two holes and live with the corners, but I'll probably just return it and get one that's right.

The packing is very nice and I'm very impressed with the overall quality of the pickguard. You'll have to use a razor to cut off some of the shielding (visible in the picture) but it's no big deal. Unfortunately mine came with 4 or 5 scuff marks under the plastic - I assume it was because they include a pack of screws (NICE!) but they probably got jammed into the guard during shipping. The cream is a very nice vintage color and is a little more brown/tan than Fender aged white. I had previously commented that they wouldnt fit a Fender 3 hole humbucker, but was wrong - they can mount with 2 screws just fine. These guards are super nice - totally worth it.

The good points - very good 3-ply material, 2 layers of plastic covering, full shielding on back of pickguard (not just over the controls), 8 extra pickguard screws. The bad points - none as far as I'm concerned. I replaced a kit pickguard and tremolo cover, so the holes didn't all line up. I think that's mostly because the kit screw holes were in the wrong place to begin with (one of the kit screw holes almost missed hitting wood on a swimming pool route body). My recommendation - buy it.

This item arrived on time and is exactly as described. The quality is good and looks good against the black Strat body. A little fettling was needed to mount it but the end result is well worth the effort.

I bought it for my Squier Stratocaster - HSS - Affinity Series, made in China.The pickguard fits absolutely perfectly. The back cover didn't fit with the previous holes.. so I used one as a reference and was able to pierce new holes without anything showing.Both the pickguard and the backplate had 2 protective films to peel off each.It looks absolutely gorgeous against the white body.. I couldn't be happier! Great purchase!

So, this is high quality work, that said. I have a 2003 American highway one has and the new pick guard has the humbucker hole a bit to low and when installed with the humbucker nickel cover I have to force it into the hole, but barely clear the wood on the bridge side. Keep this in mind when buying

This is a great product! More solid than the one that came on my mexi strat...lined up perfectly on front and backplate. The color(vintage green pearl) looks awesome!
