In my younger years I refused to believe in anything that could not be proven using the scientific method and I only believed in scientifically proven evidence. A good friend of mine at that time, who was a math and computer expert, would debate with me about esoteric and spiritual topics. He would insist that there is more than the material world, but philosophically I could not accept this view at that time; however, now that I am well into my senior years I realize my thinking errors and flaws when it comes to the esoteric and spiritual.I also began reading numerous books in the esoteric fields the last few years. It may be because as one enters the senior years and the end of this life is closer there is a change in the thinking processes. In any case, I just finished reading this fascinating and interesting book (The Immortal Mind: science and the continuity of consciousness beyond the brain by Ervin Laszlo with Anthony Peake) which I purchased on Amazon. This book explores the evidence for near-death-experiences from new research in this area.Since I had read various books lately on out-of-body travel (Astral projection and astral travel) I found The Immortal Mind a fantastic read. The question this book answers is “Does our consciousness, soul, or spirit end with the death of our body?” Once I began reading this volume it was difficult to put down. This is the kind of book that will force you to think more deeply and give hope that there is indeed something real about the astral world.The three parts this book covers includes the following: Part one: The evidence: near-death experiences, apparitions and after-death communication, medium transmitted communication, instrumental Trans communication, past-life recollection and reincarnation. Part two: The science: the rediscovery of the deep dimension, and consciousness in the Cosmos. Part three: The explanation: re-experiencing consciousness: the recall from Akasha and death and beyond: the return to Akasha. There is also an afterword and an appendix section: Conscious immortality: the dawn of a new dew era, confirming views from extraordinary sources.If you are interested in learning about the evidence for our consciousness continuing even after our death this is a must book to read. A good read if you are interested in proof of life after death. The authors give a lot of examples that the mind exists after deathhowever at or near the end of the book they go into great detail about science and theory that is difficult to understand by the lay person.

The book also references strong anecdotal evidence for near-death experiences such as the very well-documented case of Pamela Reynolds."The Immortal Mind" also explores some of the world's belief systems, including ancient Greek, Hindu, Buddhist, and others in order to glean additional insights into The Big Question from the world's great philosophers.I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, which I completed in just two days and four sittings. Today I completed the Ervin Laszlo Anthony Peake book in the pic below. Oh my god! I was spellbound by all the after death info, and stopped when I got to the science part because this small volume packs incise, scientific proof of the continuance of consciousness after death and my mind was jam packed by then. Dug in this afternoon and Anthony, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this first ever complete understanding of how it all works! I FINALLY get it. I was able to explain it all to my father so I know it's tight in my consciousness and I will never be the same again.
