Light, good grips. Can adjust length. Swings freely
- Made in China- 9' long- Uncontoured barrel handles, but covered is grippy, comfortable foam- Does clack a little but I got used to it almost immediately- Handles swivel good- Covered in plastic tubes over what looks like woven nylon cords- Don't expose to excessive sunlight or heat. Wipe with damp cloth, air dryNothing in the listing or the papers that come with it mention being adjustable length, but you can screw off a handle, untie the half-bow, and shorten as needed. It might be a trick to get the rope tied back right, but it's do-able.It feels sturdy, swings freely, is overall light but isn't limp, if you know what I mean. It'll swing good. I like it a lot better than a plain one.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many things you buy every day will generate a small donation to the charity of your choice. Segmented Works Well
I was just jumping rope with the segmented jump rope. It has been years since I have jumped. The last time was with a metal jump rope and I honestly was concerned that I might just cut my leg. With this one, it is plenty light to the point where I think I would like a little bit of weight in the middle. But I jumped. I also smacked my leg (just a little sting). I can say the length is good for me. I am 5 foot 7 inches and if it were any longer, it would be too long.

A Little Long for Someone 5'2"
I found this segmented jump rope a little difficult to use. I wish it was easier to adjust and I may try find a way to shorten it. I'm 5'2" 122 lbs. Definitely an outside activity. But jump-roping is incredibly exercise, so I will probably keep it on hand to stay active while I'm watching the kids play outside.

Really hard to adjust
This is really hard to adjust. You open a handle, untie the cord, pull out the cord and remove the beads. Then you put it back in the handle and that's where the fun begins. It's a big hole, so it's hard to get a knot large enough that it doesn't slip back out again, and because it is so large, if the knot slips a bit, the whole thing comes out and sends beads flying all over the gym. I'm going to look into gorilla glue or something to make that knot secure, but I wish adjustments were easier on this one.

Great value for money
This is an excellent workout piece; the handles are comfortable, and the segmented rope has a good weight to it. Great value.

Works as expected
I like this rope better then the regular speed ropes because this has a satisfying sound when it hits the ground. I can control it better and it's easier for my kids to use.

Not the Easiest to Adjust, but Works Great
I love jump roping as an exercise. It's great. This jump rope reminds me of grade school gym class and brings back many fond memories. This isn't a speed rope by any stretch, so those looking for something along those lines should look elsewhere. This is for more recreational workouts. It isn't the easiest thing in the world to adjust, but then again I don't have the best motor skills! Once it's set, it takes no maintenance.
