I bought the Slow n'Sear basket hoping I could smoke smaller cuts of meat in my Jumbo Joe without using nearly as much charcoal as the Slow n' Sear Deluxe in my 22" kettle.Mission accomplished.For a single rack of ribs or a pork loin or whole chicken or a chuck roast, this is a perfect setup. I've tried other methods of smoking on the Jumbo Joe, but I've been frustrated by every other method I've tried compared to my 22" kettle. The Slow n'Sear basket works perfectly for what I want to do, with quick setup and easy-to-maintain temps. Once I get the vents set, I don't have to touch them again. Using the minion method, it seems to barely burn any charcoal at all. I can barely tell that any briquettes have burned up after a couple of hours of smoking.The Slow n'Sear basket is made of thinner metal than my Slow n'Sear Deluxe. It feels like thinner metal than Weber's CharBaskets, even. That said, it's not flimsy. It's a stiff metal. It tucks in the bowl right behind the hooks for the Jumbo Joe lid holder. I don't know exactly how long a full load of charcoal will burn, because everything I've smoked so far has been ready to eat long before the coals burn out. I'd guess 6-7 hours is a realistic estimate.This doesn't replace my Weber CharBaskets, as I still do most of my hot grilling with CharBaskets. But I'm very happy with this purchase and I've been having a lot of fun smoking with my Jumbo Joe.

Is as described. Works perfectly. Use it alot to cook indirectly and to slow smoke on the bbq. Well made

Fits perfectly in the Weber Jumbo Joe. Well made. It takes grilling to a new level for me.

This is really efficient. It causes charcoal to get hotter than expected so I'd say start with half basket charcoal when first time using it to sear.

I looked at some of the reviews and was hesitant to buy this. It doesn't fit exactly like a glove to the jumbo Joe as there is a gap but its close enough. The main concern was whether or not it was actual stainless steel. I did the magnet test and it stuck but I know that doesnt say much. I used a diamond attachment to my Dremel tool and touched it to one of the edges and sparks flew which confirmed it was in fact stainless. My buddy in construction also instantly reconfirmed as well when he picked it up. Overall happy with the purchase but a little overpriced in my opinion.

I got a no name grill to use this with and let me tell you , 2 zone is a way of life i use this thing daily and its pretty durable , i would say you could fit a full chimney of charcoal if you wanted to but i feel like less is more when using this bad boy good airflow is the key once you figure out what works best for your grill you will be in steak lovers heaven

Fantastic! I also bought their drip pan. This is fabulous for setting up the grill to have a direct heat and indirect heat zones. Easy clean up. High quality. A real game changer for me because I've always disliked using charcoal grills. These SNS products, in addition to a fire starting chimney, make charcoal grills a joy to use. Built to last. My grill is the Weber 18" portable Jumbo Joe model.
