If you don't rate this 5-stars you probably should have bought a much lighter rope. some do not understand why one would want to jump with a rope this heavy but I have abused several lifeline ropes and the only reason I ever need to repurchase is because I leave them at the gym or give them as gifts. They are built incredibly well, and the bearing design is amazing. You need to know how to hop with this rope and there aren't a lot of folks out there willing to put themselves through this kind of regiment but for those of you that are ... knock out 500 reps and you will thank me.

This rope is a monster! I've been skipping rope off and on for about 19 years. Currently I use the Buddy Lee speed rope which is one of the fastest if not the fastest rope on the planet. Decided to try the weighted rope thing even though I gave up on weighted ropes years ago. I picked this one because the material for the rope seemed appropriate. You have to throw the rope hard the first time around to get the kinks out of the rope. I liked the bearing handles that allow for good speed with the rope. I can still do double unders and crossovers are easy.

This is a great weighted jump rope. Just 3 minutes and I feel it all over my body. Could not be happier with this product. Keep up the good work Lifeline!

This is in my opinion THE BEST jump rope for several reason . 1,High quality life-time guarantee .2,Ropes that are too thin and light don't get my heart rate up and ropes that are too heavy slow my foot-work .Thin speed-ropes look and appear fancy but they don't develop strength speed or your cardio ,at least like this rope .When this rope gets easy to you ,you will have mad cardio ,foot and hand speed as well as overall better health .I'll be participating in the Running of The Bulls next month ,and I am so freaking ready .This is my second rope of this kind and brand ,one for the house and one at work .This rope works .Buy it with your money .I had to say that .*There are two tiny ,tiny drawbacks ,which are really not .1,The handles are slick and have no grip .Any type of rubber or foam padding will take care of this ,I used foam .#2 This rope works much better if you hang it when not in use because hanging it relaxes and eliminates the curling nature of the ropes material .Peace !

I wanted a weighted rope to work my forearms; This rope is weighted nicely and will give a good workout. The coiling is only a minor problem, and subsides with use. However, one of the handles was cracked and the ball bearing would not stay put. The rope was packaged in something like a ziplock bag -- I should have inspected the item more closely before using. Having inverted the handles to secure the ball bearing, the "rope" began to wear due to serious friction. I can improvise a fix, and plan to do so, because, as I said, its weight provides a good workout (forearms, shoulders, etc.).My main issue is the cost, particularly given that the item was damaged upon receipt (cannot fault the rope on this); I believe most of the cost is in the ball bearings, because the rest of the rope is just plastic.

The clamps used to adjust the length of the rope don't start put... they slide when in use. I hope this problem is unique to my item, if not the 2 stars are well deserved.
