Elementary Number Theory 7th Edition

The sections start out very slowly, and are organized well enough that you can skip a whole section if you decide you don't need it while developing a course in number theory. Each chapter starts off with a section on the major mathematician involved with the subject of that chapter. While not mathematically important, they were extremely interesting and give a great history. The actual topics and problems are pretty well-explained, and would actually be a very easy read for someone interested in learning a little number theory in their spare time.

If most teachers exercise their position correctly( public/inner city schools) to know this info, I believe this to be beneficial to all students wanting to master learning math.

This book is well-written and deserves to be presented more in mathematics classes, even for classes for students who may not exactly love mathematics. The one downside for me is that when I received this book, one of the pages was highly misshapen and messed up the otherwise perfect layout of the book.

This paperback version is exactly the same as the hard cover, so it's a great value!

The pages are noticeably thinned than that US version (think, almost, bible-thin pages) - still, the price is a heck of a lot better!

Good book. The international edition is smaller than the hardcover US edition, but everything is the same.

This book covers everything in just enough detail that you don't become overwhelmed. Problems are also very useful and I liked the affordable price compared to other Number Theory books.

It's a cute book.. But the problem is it does not offer much in the way of examples. Recognizing patterns is somewhat difficult with this textbook as it mainly shows the skeletal structure of formal proofs without showing applications of the proof...I got the international "illegal in USA" version. It's identical to the hard cover that's 4x the price.
