Well packed/designed home skee ball unit.
This skeeball table came packed in a box that was literally reenforced by wood. The packing material weighs a significant amount, so the package is VERY heavy, and significantly heavier than the parts or final product. We unpacked it in the garage and brought it upstairs in parts, and no single part was too heavy for one person to lift. The parts are all well labeled, and for the most part (with a few exceptions) the parts are numbered in order of assembly. The table itself is a mix of laminent, MDF particle board, and solid plywood where needed for structure. It fit together snugly, with the caveat that the tolerances on the holes was "loose". This is double edged in that it is good that the parts pilot together easier. It's bad in that you have to be very careful when tightening them down to make sure they are correctly placed or the end result can end up pretty crooked. Once assembled, with the wooden ball caveat below, the game plays pretty close to an arcade skeeball. The presentation is toned down for home/cost, but the actual play is pretty close. Overall I am very happy. That does not mean there are not some quibbles: 1) There is no volume control, and the volume is a bit on the high side. I think the people complaining that it is "way too loud" are perhaps over stating it a bit, because it's not stupid loud, but it is a bit on the loud side of the spectrum. 2) the rubber squish balls that come with the game are usable, but do not feel like real skeeball. I bought some 2.25" crafting balls and those work perfect. 3) there are a few wood screws that did not have pilot holes for them. This wasn't a problem as the wood screws will go in fairly easy without a drill, but it's a little annoying too, especially since most of them DID have pilot holes. 4) Based on videos posted about this table, we didn't even try to install the #23 boards that catch the ball and funnel it into the ball return channel, and replaced them with 1x3 inch wood cut to the right length to prevent balls from falling out. I did not experience the fall out issue myself, since we took the online advice, but the #23 parts have not been upgraded based on the videos reporting this issue from a few years ago. 5) there is a gap in the corners above the 100 point cups that a ball can (and will) get stuck in. We're gonna fill that gap with cut to shape foam to prevent balls from getting wedged, so it's a minor issue, but as packaged it's an issue. 6) this is not really a quibble, because it is exactly as described and the size is necessary for what it is, but this is a big long and awkward piece of furniture to move around. We had to move everything else out of the room it now sits in to manuver it for assembly. Once in place, everything went back in place and its fine, but I HIGHLY advise that you assemble it in close proximity to where you plan to place it. Quibbles aside, this is a great home unit that gives you skee ball play without the bulk/cost of an authentic arcade unit. I'm quite happy to have a skeeball table in my arcade area.

Fun skee ball game, just don't look for 100 pointers!
I got this for my wife for her birthday to help her practice for her local skee ball league (yes, that's a thing!). Delivery was set up efficiently through a local company and the game arrived in a large box on a pallet. We wanted to put it upstairs and could not get the box up in one piece, but it was easy enough to unbox on the ground floor and move the components individually. Assembly was fairly straightforward. The instructions are for the most part clear with well labeled parts and hardware, though there was one step for which the picture was a little confusing. Customer service was easily accessible and helpful. I'm glad I had a power drill to run in the screws; it would have been much more challenging by hand. A couple of screws were hard to reach but I managed. The final assembly is sturdy and looks nice. The game itself works as advertised. There are flashing lights, a running score for a 1- or 2-player game, and an announcement with scores which is very, very, very loud. We may put a towel over the speaker to dampen it a bit. As others have said, the balls are a little flimsy rubber and not solid wooden balls as you'd find at an arcade, but they work fine and cause less damage when thrown errantly by a child. The deck is also a little higher than a normal skee ball game, but our 5-year-old can play fine with a little step stool.

Almost perfect
Overall, this is a great table. It arrived on time and was very well packed and in pristine condition. Assembly was easy with two people. (I don't recommend doing it by yourself.) The surface is pretty smooth and the included balls roll well. The score board is large and well-lit. If you want more than the three included balls, street hockey balls are a pretty good substitute and come in multicolor packs. The only thing keeping this from being a five-star table is the sound controls. You either get loud voice-overs or no sound at all. A simple volume dial would have made this table perfect. At this price point, I think it would be trivial cost-wise to have better volume controls.

Love it!
This has been a really fun addition to our basement. The game came in a huge box, but my husband and I easily carried it to the basement. Assembly took a few hours. One of the pieces was broken, but we contacted the number for customer service and they sent a new part immediately. It arrived in a few days. It’s a very nice looking, well made game. We have had a lot of fun playing skee ball as a family and it’s great for all ages.

High quality game machine
This is a high quality well made game machine. Money well spent. Plays great. Perfect for any game room. Important, this game is extremely heavy, spend the 20 bucks for Amazon’s in room delivery (even the packaging weighs a lot) It is somewhat complex to build but the instructions were great and after about 5 hours of assembly everything worked out great.

Crooked and Misaligned.
So many issues. Misaligned boards, warped boards and even missing nail holes. Unfortunately, there wasn't one single issue but multiple which ultimately made the whole unit lopsided. The one good thing this item has is that it looks pretty but pretty can only get you so far. In this case, pretty gave this item the 1 star. Manufacturing issues galore and poor quality control. I don't understand how one item can have so many errors and missing issues. For the price paid I expected a little bit more quality. I regret not having bought the one that was half the price given the issues I encountered. Getting a hold of someone from the company has been quite difficult, which only makes matter worse. Note that the ball weight is not your typical skee ball weight. The mall with this machine is much lighter and more rubbery. I would love disappointed about that as well but given the flimsy nature of the baskets, the plastic material would easily snap if it was the weight of an actual skee ball. The volume on the machine is rather loud and unfortunately there's no volume control which is disappointing. Not worth the price or the headaches for a pretty but very crookedly formed pricey item.

Great Home Skeeball Game
I am very satisfied with my new skeeball game. It works well and is lots of fun to play. It took a lot of time to assemble, but I did it by myself. All the parts were there and fit together as designed. I would recommend that a volume control be added and a few features like storing high games and having players alternate shots, rather than each rolling ten balls and then have the opponent throw his/her ten balls.

Great product, but horrific shipping experience!
Product is great, but shipping was horrible! The drop shipping company, NSD, left the box, which weighs over 200 lbs, directly on my doorstep! Instead of the other 3,000 square feet of pavement, they put it directly where I couldn’t even get in or out of the door. Additionally, there was no call, text, or notification that they would be delivering, and the email messages (sent from Amazon) indicates they would deliver a day later! When I contacted the shipping company to complain, the representative didn’t speak very good English, and put put name me on hold for over 30 minutes. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AS LONG AS NSD IS SHIPPING IT!! The product itself is awesome. It took about 2 hours to assemble per the well-written directions, and the pieces are all nicely numbered with stickers (that remove and don’t leave marks). Be sure to have an open area to work, as there are steps that require you to assemble large pieces and then move on to other portions, only to join them together later. Ease of instructions and assembly was very good. For those that need more balls (it comes with 4), you can go on the MD Sports website and order 4 additional (or more) for $14.95 + tax per set. We thought of using lacrosse balls (same diameter, but much heavier and harder), but I think those are too heavy and might damage the roll and score parts.. The operation of the product works great with just one snag: sometimes the balls will get lodged into the upper section of the ball return incline. In this case, we just walk over and “tap” the back panel and it allows them to dislodge. Perhaps a heavier ball would discourage this from happening, but then it might also break the points sensors (which are plastic). Overall, MD Sports (Barrington) has created a great, thoughtful product. It would have been five stars, but the shipping experience (horrific) will forever be in my mind and associated with this product.
