It was such a good price that I had my doubts but it does work well. You have to place it at an angle to keep it from moving but definitely worth every penny.

I’d had my Dimplex Optimyst fire just over a year when the flame affect stopped working. After researching, I thought it was likely to be this. After seeing the original part was over £60 I decided to give this one a try. Super easy to fit and works just like the original. Only been in a week so will see how long it lasts and update review at that time.

Anyone who has a Dimplex Opti-myst electric fire will know that they look very realistic while they work, but they don't work for long. Just accept it, and accept the fact that the transducer will need replacing every year or so, a two-minute job. These do the job fine on my Danville fire.

An excellent, 5-star product. It is well finished and is easy to operate. The instructions for setting up and use are easy to follow, and the machine is of a good quality build.

I’m glad it’s working well for most, but it isn’t working well enough for me, meaning that it’s been a waste of money. I have the optimist grand noir and the water in the sump cannot sit 1 to 2 cm above the transducer’s black bobble, as suggested in the product details. It is smaller than the original transducer, too, and I found it difficult to place in exactly the right position. It may feel quite sturdy, but it just isn’t the right size. The best I can say is that I at least know the fan is working, because smoke is produced for a short time, but I’ll have to buy a Dimplex transducer, sadly.

Worked as good as the manufacturers but expected it to work longer than it did .

So far works very well and a very competitive price.
