Good experience so far
I can't really assess all the qualities of the potential future mature plants, as I have only had this set of seeds for less than a month, but then again, with gardening there are so many factors that influence the final product. It's fair to judge seeds as good if they germinate and arrive well packaged and undamaged. I have put little areas of the various basil varieties in a few planters. They seem to all germinate well (but do expect that because these are different strains of basil some will grow faster than others). The seedlings look good. The seeds appear to be basil seeds (I usually grow a lot of basil and these look like they should). They are really well packaged too! The seed collection came wrapped in a sealed envelope. Each variety of seed is in its own designated sleeve--colorfully printed, the same paper sleeve as the usual seeds you can buy at any retailers, but with one notable difference: the top flap is gummed and resealable! The gummed sleeve is very convenient and makes these seeds easy to reseal if you don't sow them all at once. Lastly, these are a good value for the price. If you bought a single mature plant of any of the varieties here, you might pay on average $6 per plant where I live. So, while I do buy some larger basil plants from a greenhouse, I also like to grow my own from seed. It is truly a very very versatile plant. I would recommend this brand and seller. I will probably buy more of their seeds next year after having a good experience with this set of seeds.

A Good Selection of Basil Seeds
We have had good luck with germination and transplanting these basil seeds and plants. Each seems to grow at its own pace, depending on the weather and where we plant them. So far, they grow best in our tea garden and out with the tomatoes. They seem healthy and sturdy, and the leaves are as one would expect. Hopefully, we will get many generations from these plants going forward.

Almost 100% germination rate on the varieties I’ve sown
I bought these last year, so the seeds are 1 year old. I sowed the seeds inside under grow lights and got almost 100% germination from spicy globe, Genovese, and lemon basil. I’ll try some of the other varieties later, but I’m so super happy with these seeds!!! I sowed them thinking nothing would germinate since they were old seeds and definitely not the case! Worth every penny and so many varieties to choose from!

Germinated Successfully - Some better than others.
The Thai, Lemon, and Dark Opal varieties were slower to germinate, and did not germinate as well as the others. All varieties did germinate. Started in standard 6-pack seed trays in potting soil and watered with a mister. Will see how the plants grow over time.

Nive variety, germination rate not great
Very nice assortment of basil types, but the germination rate was below 50% for me. It is possible that my conditions were not optimal for basil, but tomato seeds in similar conditions germinated beautifully.

Almost 100% germinated
Great basil seeds. All of mine germinated using a peat pellet in about 4 or 5 days. I am struggling with the Holy basil though. It germinated quickly, but the leaves keep drying up. Shown in the photo is the Thai basil plant (there are several plants here...5 or 6). Unfortunately, I forgot and gave away the other seedlings before getting a photo. Here's a couple of suggestions I've got so you'll also have great success...I sanitized/disinfected the peat pellets, pots/containers and the soil I used. I did this because I've had issues before with my seedlings molding after they've been growing for a week or two. For the containers and pots, I used about a 10% bleach and water solution and soaked them for ten minutes (then rinsed really, really well). With the peat pellets and soil, I put them in a metal pan into a 300°F oven for one hour. Another thing that'll get your basil plants (well actually, any plant) growing bigger and stronger is when the plant has about 6 sets of leaves growing, snip off the very top set of leaves. This will encourage the plant to spread out and fill in (and the stem will strengthen). What'll happen is new growth will start within each set of leaves. I was able to get my first harvest about a month or so in (although a small harvest. It was enough for a small pot of Thai curry though). As you can see now, the plant has filled in nicely. I write my own, honest reviews because I love to help others (I was a nurse). If this has helped you, please click so below. That way, I'll know that what I'm doing makes a difference. BTW, I never receive compensation for any of my reviews.
