Bratz True Hope Doll - Cloe

Not a huge Bratz fan, but I liked that this doll was unique and made for a good cause. I bought two versions, and left them in the box. As fate would have it, my daughter grabbed some tags from an "Angel Tree" set up last Christmas, and all of the kids on the tree were in the oncology (cancer) department at the local hospital. I was a little nervous about sending them this doll as a gift, because if the kids hadn't lost their hair yet, I didn't want to scare them. Instead, I gave these two dolls to the nurses on the pediatric oncology floor and asked them to give them to children who would appreciate them. They thought they were fantastic dolls, so perfect for the little girls in the hospital, and knew just who to give them to.

Huge shout out to Bratz for supporting kids with cancer with this series of dolls. I work for a non-profit org that helps kids with cancer and this is a long time coming! This is such a comfort for kids who have lost their hair and for explaining to other kids the side effects of treatment. Thank you thank you thank you Bratz for caring about our littlest cancer patients! We need more gold ribbon products like this.

Our school librarian has breast cancer. I had just read an article in my Guideposts magazine about a lady with cancer whose daughter was sad about her mom losing her hair. She was trying to get Mattel to make a bald Barbie doll. Lots of people were signing in on the story. They said no, but maybe a friend of Barbie's. So came the Bratz True Hope Doll. The doll is a symbol of hope.

I gave this to my cousin who lost her mother to cancer, I think it's a great idea. I think it's a great thing to show children that are sick that they're beautiful and that there are dolls out there just like them.

Great dolls! Ordered two True Hope Dolls for my best friend's daughter. My best friend is going through chemotherapy for breast cancer right now, and it was a great way for her daughter to cope with everything. She was so excited that her doll matched her mom!
