Overall a lovely addition to my Google Home Mini
For those who may not have time to read my in depth review, to summarise the case is high quality and works as advertised and would recommend it to anyone who has a Google Home Mini.I just also want to say that this review is quite long and took me a while to type out. I typed all of this on mobile and since the revjew is quite long and as in depth as possible, there may be some spelling or grammar errors so if there are any I apologise for that in advance. When I first saw this product on Amazon, I thought that it looked really good. The design works so well for the Google Home Mini that I would say it almost looks as if it is actually a part of the speaker itself. I also loved the idea of moving my Google Home Mini anywhere in my home without the hassle of it always needing to be plugged into the wall.To get started with the review I am going to list what the box contains:1. The battery base for Google Home Mini itself2. Instruction ManualThe unboxing experience is very basic. First the battery base is presented in a little plastic bag and then the instruction manual is underneath. The actual setup of the battery base was so easy. (NOTE: When going to turn on the battery base for the first time, make sure to press and hold the button in for about 3 seconds as pressing it only turns the lights on the front on and off)Within seconds, I had my Google Home Mini working wirlessly away from the plug which a first was amazing as it added so much more versatility to my Google Home Mini. I could have it in the bedroom one minute, and then next I could have it in the bathroom, all without the hassle of having to unplug it and plug it into another plug. It really does transform the way I use my Google Home Mini! After using this battery base for a while, here are some pros and cons about the battery base:Pros:1. Portability - This battery base makes the Google Home Mini truly portable, either around the house or even taking to another home and using it an a friend's place.2. Quality - The silicone rubber the battery base is made from is soft touch and grippy when holding the Google Home Mini. Whilst it was in my hand, I didn't feel as if I could easily drop it and even if I did, the case appears to be a thick one so I could imagine it would also offer some protection for the Google Home Mini.I also did notice that the Google Home Mini fits very snugly into the case so if it was shaken around, even whilst upside down, the Google Home Mini would not fall out.Lastly, after putting my Google Home Mini into the battery base, it did feel quite hefty when carrying it around. This is probably because of the 7500mAh battery that is inside case. I feel that most people would see this as a con but I personally feel that it adds to quality as it feels sturdy.3. Battery - The battery life of this case is phenomenal. Being a 7500mAh battery which is quite a decent sized battery I may add, I am able to get a good 7-10 hours of use of this case and that's with constant use of the Google Home Mini. I use my Google Home Mini to stream TuneIn all the time and use it at around 25-50% volume, depending on what volume I feel like listening at. Obviously battery life depends on how the Google Home Mini is used so battery life will vary a little bit so keep that in mind.Cons:I don't have many complaints about the case to be honest but these are just things I feel that need to be adressed. No Mute Switch access - The case covers up the mute switch that is on the Google Home Mini. For me, this isn't a deal-breaker but for some people who like their privacy, this is something to keep in mind. I don't know why they didn't just make a cutout for the mute switch like they did for the charging port but as I said, this doesn't bother me that much. Maybe a cutout for the mute switch could be something to consider if they ever decide to make a revised version of the case.Strap is not adjustable - OK I guess I'm nitpicking at this point but the strap that is attached to case is not adjustable which would have been good for other people that might have bigger arms o they could put the strap around their wrists, making it easier to carry the Google Home Mini around. Maybe just something to consider for a revised version of the case.Value for money - For £30 I feel that this price is a little steep for just a battery base as that is roughly the same cost as the mini itself. I understand that the case is high quality and all but I feel that £25 would be a bit of a more appealling price as for cost of this case, you could just buy a second Google Home Mini to use another room instead of buying a battery base for orginal one.To be honest, I don't have many complaints if this battery base. I really had to nitpick in order to find some cons for it. I really enjoy using the product and would recommend it to anyone who owns a Google Home Mini is it is very practical.

A must buy accessory to use with google home.
I've brought a variety of google home devices, more recently touchscreen versions from Google and Lenovo and ended up with a spare google home mini. I was going to give it away but then realized that I could use this in the bathroom or garden if I made it portable.I previously used a Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom but it's obsolete and doesn't connect to my new home. With this now I can take it anywhere in the house or in the garden or shed. Very simple and fuss-free design which I love, just plug in and go. The build quality is superb and I like the way the rubber base grips the device making it stable on surfaces whilst gripping the speaker. It's simple, looks great and does exactly what you want it to do.Really I couldn't be happier to make the most use of this device.

A must for all Google Home Mini owners.
Great product. This arrived very quickly and I couldn't wait to try it out. The packaging was simple and clean. Upon opening you are presented with a simple user guide and the unit itself, I immediately decided to see how well it integrated with the Google Home Mini, the colour is an exact match, the fit is snug but not too tight, it holds my Home Mini comfortably. There is no setup, just plug in the USB to the Home Mini and you are ready to go.The unit is sturdy and appears to be very well made, the soft finish makes it feel far more premium than the price would lead you to think. If you have a Google Home Mini then this is a MUST!

Great device if you want a portable smart speaker
[I was given this device to review]Firstly, this device feels like it has a stronger design heritage than most accessories at this price point. The product itself is good quality, made from pliable rubberised plastic that fits the Google Home mini perfectly and holds it tightly in place.Installing the Home Mini into the battery pack is super simple - a USB cable secured into the battery pack attaches to the power port of the Mini and sits under the Mini when it is installed. Installation takes less than 10 seconds. In terms of design, you couldn't ask for more from this device. It's an elegant, pleasing shape that matches the design language of the Mini itself perfectly. Together, the Mini and battery base are quick a sizeable package, but I'd rather have the long battery life, than a more discrete product that didn't last as long. There are four lights on the front that show the charge status (they also echo the four lights on the top of the Mini itself - a nice design touch!). The base has a lanyard attached that looks strong enough to hold the weight of battery and speaker, if you were to hang it up somewhere. When installed, it's still possible to touch the volume buttons on the side of the Mini, but it's not possible to get to the mute switch. The device came fully charged out of the box. In terms of battery life, we seem to be getting close to the 6-8 hours advertised, when the Mini is on and being occasionally used. We've not had it playing music on battery for long enough to judge, but I would expect 3-4 hours. We leave ours plugged into the mains most of the time, fully charged and ready to be unplugged and taken around. I imagine it must be frustrating to want to use your smart speaker, only to realised you forgot to plug it in and the battery is dead. The device takes a standard micro-USB cable, but the plug is recessed into the plastic of the case, so if your USB plug has a large plastic surround, it may not fit into the recess enough to allow the plug to actually make contact. The product doesn't not come with a USB cable or charger (which is good, in my view). In terms of issues, the only one I found was to do with the power button. On the back, it requires a single press to turn on and off. When you press it, the power status lights come on, but the Mini itself takes a few seconds to boot up and make a sound or display lights, so it's not always clear it's worked. This isn't an issue with the battery pack, its an issue cause by the Mini not expecting to be battery powered. The issue I found with the battery pack itself is that you only need to press the power button once to turn the whole unit off. If you don't notice the lights going out on the front, you might not realise. There is no audible sound from the battery pack to indicate it's been powered on or off, and it's fairly easy to accidentally press the power button without realising - mainly when you're carrying it around. Not a big issue, but it does take a few seconds to power the Mini back up again if you do this accidentally. In conclusion, this is a great device that lets you use your Google Home mini portably around your home. Have a 'home' for it somewhere with a power adapter ready to be plugged in and remember to plug it back in again when you're done, and it'll serve you perfectly.
