Works well on blemished skin
Having some knowledge of the science and experience with skin laser therapy, I decided to give this product a go and after two weeks the pen has indeed reduced inflammation in the oily area of skin on my nose that is prone to blemishes. Purpura from age is also reduced and spider veins from years of sun damage and acne "break-outs" are showing signs of diminishing. Skin is softer, smoother and so far free from break-outs. I use the pen for 2 days then give my skin 2 days of recovery. I'm a middle aged man and I have very white skin (tanning is difficult) so I don't have issues with any darkening, however I did get a kind of sun-burn initially from overuse. After each treatment I apply pure aloe-vera and in general I avoid cosmetics or soaps with complex chemical recipes when washing. From experience, redness and inflammation of the skin can also caused by over-cleaning and exposure to chemicals (like the chlorine that is added to tap water), which ironically makes the skin more prone to break-outs. In my case however the laser pen is helping. It's not going to give me perfect teenage skin any time soon but so far it looks like the product claims are reasonable which is why I give it 5 stars. The product overall is simple and the quality is quite good. I find product reviews very useful so I figure it's important to let other people with similar skin issues and expectations know when something works.

Noticeable improvement
I have had small spider veins on the bridge of my nose and around my nostrils for several years. They’re not major, but enough where I’d rather not have them and they’re noticeable to me, if not others. I have considered actual laser treatment, but this was going to prove quite costly. I decided to wait until they were bad enough where I could no longer cover them with make up. However, when I spotted this I decided to give it a try being as at only £14.99 there wasn’t much to lose. I’ve been using it once a day for 5 minutes for 3 days so far. Already, I’ve noticed that my spider veins are visibly reduced. I don’t know if they’ll disappear completely, but I’m hopeful that with noticeable improvement after only 3 days that there’s every possibility! I have also been massaging apple cider vinegar onto the affected areas afterwards, as I heard this helps too, so it could be a combination of the 2. I would certainly say that, if you’ve got a similar problem to me, this is certainly worth a try. If allowed, I’ll post another review in another couple of weeks with an update if my spider veins have reduced further. My only gripe is the annoying beeping noise; I wish it was silent.

Good purchase
I just got this and have targeted a few spider veins to try it out on and so far so good they seem to be fading.

get rechargable batteries
I can recommend this to people who already know that their skin responds to blue light therapy. As to how quickly it works, it depends on what you start with and what you are dealing with. I get a flare up of cystic winter neck acne from coats and scarfs. These flare ups dont respond to the topical treatments (and just come back), and so this is pretty much the only way to get at them for me. I will give you some examples of the spots and how this thing worked. 1) I had a particularly irritated under-the-skin spot that was stubborn for over 2 weeks and it started calming down after about 2 days. 2) I also had a mild spot near the surface that went away after 1 day. 3) I had a spot that was initially calmed, but then became irritated. The pen seemed to keep the swelling down and minimized the damage. After the swelling started up, it was under control after about 3-4 days of regular use.

A pain to use
This is kinda a pain to use on the facemaybe other areas of the body it would be okay. You have to hold it to the area by hand for several minutes and the beeping is annoying.I think a light masque that covers the face is much better for my needs.
