Decent for what it is
I got three different cues for my two sons (ages 13 and 11) and I, the idea being that if my 11 year old would have his own cue he would be more willing to play. It worked, he chose the sword while my eldest and I took the dragons. While we all enjoy the game, none of us are hotshots. These are clearly not advanced sets, though they present really well, the packaging for all three were identical, the cues wrapped in plastic inside the cases inside of shipping boxes. The tips for all three that we received ARE screw-ins. There were absolutely no cosmetic blemishes on any of the cues or cases. The cases are wood or pressed-board, with liners and some sort of padding under the liners. There are small hard-foam inserts on both ends in the case to keep the tips and parts of the cue from sliding around inside the case, as well as some braces in the middle to keep the halves apart. It is apparent which half goes on which side.I honestly don't know what makes a 'great' cue. I've kept the cue in the case in my trunk and we've have several freeze-thaws in the two months since we've owned them, and there is no 'wobble' when I roll it across a table to see if it's warped yet. If there was a wobble I would have dropped it to four stars.I paid the regular Amazon price for each cue/case and received no inducements one way or the other for this review.

Pool cue stick
Design is wonderful, however, this is not the best pool cue stick. I wobbles and it is not worth the price to return it.

This could have been a great product, but.....
I loved the stick. I ordered the 20oz. I played maybe 10 games and the end of the cue split where the tip screws in.I also noticed that the bottom half was slightly uneven. Exactly were the design is was raised slightly more than the rest of the shaft giving it a slight wobble when doing the table roll. The top 3/4 of the upper half was never clear coated which most likely led to the weak cue end causing it to eventually split. This could be a great cue, however, there is no real attention to craftsmanship. I have processed a replacement for the cue, and I would love to rate 5 stars! It played very well. Will update when the replacement arrives!

Great Value
Purchased this item as a "Used Like New" option from Amazon, and couldn't be more impressed. Outstanding value for the price. The cue case alone is worth the price, and the stick is great quality too. Highly recommend.

Trademark pool sticks
It came poorly packaged and the case was damaged with the stick poking out the end. The stick itself was so crooked and warped it is unusable.

Awesome Christmas Present
This was an awesome Christmas present for my Son who owns a pool table. The little case that holds his cue stick makes him feel like Paul Newman in "The Hustler". The painted design of the silver blue sword is beautiful.

For the money...
It's like anything else: you get what you pay for. If you're looking for an economy-grade pool cue, then this is it. I was looking for such a thing, so I like mine. It beats the cues supplied by my university, at any rate. Just make sure you want a lower end stick so you don't wind up complaining later.
