These are solid on/off 500k ohm potentiometers. Spec'ed right on the money using my multimeter. They're solid and have that higher quality "beefy" feeling. I needed them to repair a lab hotplate & magnetic stirrer. The original pot plastic disk that holds the knob axle & sweeps the varistor... just mashed & cracked. I have a lot more confidence in this one. The knob stem was standard, and I could use the original knob head to keep the cosmetic appearance the same. There's a nice zinc die-cast face to the potentiometer body that also has a raised standoff and anti-rotation tab if the panel surface or a PCB is slotted for it. Otherwise, you can use the extra nut & washer to space it, or easily file it down. I like having them as a pair, even though I needed only one. As I like having spares of EVERYTHING. Not a criticism, just a warning. The pot body is a bit bigger than other B500k on/off pots. It may not fit in all applications. But it fit fine for me since it's essentially a metal box with lots of free space inside. Some sort of rack audio equipment might not.

These are kinda crap, unfortunately. Used as a replacement switch for my Zadro Lighted Mirror. Switch is flimsy and the connection inside is loose, causing the light to flicker. Since it comes with two switches, I'll try the other one tomorrow. Hopefully it will be better. Update: Soldered the second switch on, works just fine. must have just gotten a rotten one. With that being said, I think this company sent me an extra order of switches. Received them today. That was nice of them. I don't want to change my review on these switches because it was the truth, but I will update the stars from 2 to 4, losing one star for the inconvenience of having to replace the fist one.

Good quality variable switch. Fixed the on off volume on my metal detector so I can get out treasure hunting

Used for a panel mounted control of a PWM LED Dimmer in an application were I wanted "OFF" to be completely "OFF". The power switch is isolated from the potentiometer and has a very strong sounding snap action, which I used to control the 120V power to the LED DC supply. So when it's OFF, it's OFF.

Pretty cheesy control, but I could not find anything else with an AC switch and had to have that for this application. It is so flimsy that soldering to the tabs bends them. Pretty poor overall. I really needed a 1 Meg pot, but tested my radio at 500K and seemed to work OK. I was replacing the tone control/power off/on switch on an 87 year old Breting 12 shortwave receiver. Just breaks my heart that I was forced to put this import crap in this piece of history. I'll keep checking the auction sites for a more suitable part. This works in the interim, but I don't trust the switch and unplug the set when not in use.

Bought for a friend, as far as I know it works well ... I havnt hear any complaints and believe me, I would heard about it

I used these switched potentiometers to switch and dim low voltage LED cob lighting strips. So far they have proven durable and very functional. The anodized aluminum know adds a bit of class

They do what they are supposed to but the one-off is stuff and a bit flimsy.
