Great Product at an Amazing Price
I was pleasantly surprised the ease of use and voice quality of the Phenyx Pro 4-Channel Wireless Microphone System. There are two ways to get it plugged into your speaker or mixer (via 1/4" for all 4 mics) or via XLR cable for each microphone to manage them separately. I have used the 1/4" method, and found that it works amazing. The system includes a knob to adjust the volume per microphone and designates the frequency for each one. The range is really far as I've been in a separate building (50 yards apart) using a second set, and the microphone from the second building could be picked up from the first building. The most impressive part of the system is the value you get (4 wireless microphones, the system, 1/4" cable). I have literally plugged this directly into a speaker (as well as a Yamaha mixer), and it worked great both scenarios and was easy to setup for a Novice like myself. The battery life lasts pretty long. We used it in a church service which lasts 2-3 hours/service (twice/week), and they usually last a couple of months per microphone (uses 2 AA per microphone). I would definitely recommend this product to others on a budget. This would cost 3-4 times more using larger brand names that have similar quality / features.

Not Shure, but sure gets the job done
This is a great set, IMO the best value on Amazon for what you get. These seem to be kind of like Shure imitation mics to me, and they do present very well. Heavy in the hand, solid metal, nice to hold. From a few feet away you can't tell the difference. I recently did an outdoor community festival event with these, receiving from a FOH position out in the grass 100+ feet from the stage. No reception issues or loss of clarity whatsoever. Vocals are crisp and bright. I appreciate that each channel has its own gain knob on the receiver.A couple cons, or things to be aware of: LCD displays in the mics are NOT LCD displays, rather they are stickers with a green/red LED behind them. Not a huge deal, low batt is indicated by a change from green to red. Same/similar with the receiver, the 4 displays are not real screens, they only show the frequency of each channel. I don't necessarily have an issue with this, but I do miss being able to see signal strength. That being said, since I've used them from a distance and seen what they can do, I don't anticipate having any signal issues in the future. I would have also liked a standard 3 prong AC power cable instead of a "wall wart" adapter that wouldn't fit into the strip in my rack, but that's a minor complaint.Overall I think this is a really great, really versatile budget conscious set. Its not a pro set, but can absolutely be used in a gig/venue setting. Ditch the cables and have the whole band go wireless. Its not a cheap karaoke set either, but it can also perform very well at home. It'll also be perfect in a worship/church setting.

Heftier and Better Than Expected
These mics are excellent! We got the 4 handhelds and they work beautifully. Versatile - use for on stage performance as well as for announcements. Super easy to set up (you do need your own aux cables) and clear range. We use them in a 3000+ sq foot warehouse type setup. The casing is metal which makes them feel nicer and makes the user more aware of the mic and placement. The on-off button is not easily accidentally turned on/off which is a plus. I highly recommend.FYIs:1) The info window doesn’t have a battery gauge but will illuminate red when it’s low.2) You don’t know which mic goes with which channel till it’s out of the box and all powered on. Not a huge deal, but we only wanted to use two mics for its first usage, so it just took a little extra time. It DOES tell you in the info window of the mic which channel and frequency it’s on.3) There are batteries for mics included!4) The info window illuminates bright green ALWAYS unless red for low battery or off. Nothing a little gaff tape can’t remedy.

Very good and budget friendly!
I have waited a few months to review these, because I wanted to see if they actually lasted. I am in a working band. We play one or two nights every weekend. Our gigs are 3-4 hours in length. These mics have been great! They sound great. The range is as good as we need for small to medium stages/clubs. The batteries last 4-5 gigs and warn us before just crapping out, so we have never had a problem in the middle of a song. While we try not to drop our mics, we have and have lost a mic yet. They run on two AA batteries and are quick and easy to change, but a small tool (I use a keychain bottle opener) will be helpful. The only negative is that the antennas on the system (which I have in a rack case) broke off rather easily. That did not seem to bother the quality or range though. Also, the power module cracked open when I dropped it once. I just taped it up and kept going. All-in-all I have been very happy with this system. I would recommend it highly and I would buy it again.
