The wire worked great and to my surprise wasnt super thin on the inside as I assumed this chinese stuff would be. The wire is actually thick enough to work with and easy enough to strip, works great for extending your LED strip. And unlike the strip to strip connectors, the shipping isnt terribly over priced.

I used these to connect a RGB LED strip. Worked well, It took the expected amount of time to solder each line.

This is not what was shipped. It was not flat ribbon cable like the photo. Was difficult to work with as the wire gauge was too big and the colors where different then the LED ribbons.

the wires were too thick for soldering onto the LED strips. Although it does it's job, it's too thick and makes it REALLY hard to solder the whole thing without two of the wires touching each other. Maybe for a thicker LED strip this would work well.

This item is a must if you're looking to customize your LED strip into several segments around the room. You can purchase a few feet of the pigtail 4-wire and some LED strip to LED strip quick connectors, cut those connectors in half and solder in this purchased 4-wire (basic soldering skills required) and use it to break away from/return to a LED segment. For example, I used an RGB strip along the top side of a very large, 18 foot window with long, semi-transparent drapes over them. Running up the side behind the drapes is 4-wire, perfectly concealed, allowing a power source and RGB controller place somewhere else out of sight. After calling the company, I've confirmed this is the ONLY possible way to go from an LED strip segment... to 4-wire... and back to LED segment. This is a great (and very cost friendly) way to run a 16 foot LED strip, cut into several pieces, to a few different locations... all using the same power and controller someone remote. More LED strips can easily be added to extend the effect. Also confirmed by the companies engineers, you can run up to 30 feet of 4-wire (additive) in-between LED segments before you even have to begin to compensate for voltage drop.

I mean it's wire. It carries electrons from one side to the other. It looks just like it does in the picture. If the gauge is appropriate for your application, I'm sure you'll like it too. It's wire. Just plain ole ordinary, plain jane wire.

i got this for an rgb led strip. but they are a little to thick, soldering was a little tricky with these. so i trimmed a little off the metal strands, id get a smaller gague next time. product is good quality

Great idea to make your own 90 degree connectors or if you have to extend a line BUT...... Its the wrong gauge wire for the clips and the blue and green are reverse.
