The price difference with sony media its a no brainer!
This Adapter WORKS GREAT! im still checking if theres actually a quality difference between this with a SDXC card and the SXS. At this point i cant notice any difference tho.The price difference its a no brainer! even if it fails on a few months im able to buy 10 of this for the price of one the Sony 64gb SXS.The only thing that "bothers" me is that when you stop recording the light on the card reader of my camera stays red for a few seconds after turning green again. i dont know if it means something bad or not..Its a lot faster to expulse the SD card from this, plug it into your notebook or 3.0 adapter than ingesting directly from the camera with that old slow Mini USB to USB 2.0 cable. if you dont have the Sony Card 3.0 card reader of course (which is again EXPENSIVE AF!)i was skeptical at first but this adapter really works!im buying two more soon to use them as on camera backup recordings in CCTVs if the signal or cable runs fails to the switcher.AMAZING PRODUCT!Im using it on a SONY PMW-EX1 shooting 1080P 60i HQ with a Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB SDXC UHS-I / EVERYTHING GOOD SO FAR!

Confirming it works fine with Samsung 512 GB EVO Plus microSDXC
512 GB microSD with its micro-to-full-sized adapter works with this Espresscard-to-SD adapter. The adapter takes a full sized SD card, so you have to use the micro-to-full-sized adapter that comes with the SD card. That means a redundant set of electrical connections to go bad. Next generation needs an Expresscard adapter that accepts microSD cards directly.Sony Vaio VPCF1 1st-generation-i7 laptop. Adapter sticks out a few millimeters, no problem, not enough to get stuck on passers-by.Laptop says card capacity is 476 GB, and I have 23 GB remaining. All my torrent-sharing is done on with SD card, happy to get the continual activity off of the mechanical hard drive and onto the SD card. Thanks for the Expresscard-to-SD adapter. Now the laptop has an extra, fast 512 GB in addition to the 512 GB hard drive, and there's no downside to keeping the Expresscard adapter inserted continuously. It does, however, insert, lock, and remove without any problem.

Works well up to 128GB. Hope to test 256GB soon.
Works exactly as described but not exactly how I wanted to use it. Current generations of the Macbook Pro have a SDXC slot. My older Macbook Pro has the Expresscard slot that was basically useless. Placing a SDXC (I use a 128GB card) in the adapter works great. I even have it formatted as a bootable drive as an alternative for checking out the internal drive. However, to swap the SDXC card you have to remove the adapter. So it isn't exactly a replacement for a true SDXC slot.I have also used this with my 64GB cards from my camera to transfer photos. So far no problems.I see these are not available anymore. I am glad I got mine while they were!

Awesome sd card adaptor!
I own a sony EX3 Camera, I was very skeptical about purchasing this product! After reading all different reviews about all other sd card adaptors speeds over crank under crank...... Plus very worried about the updating the latest frimwear of my Sony Ex3 ..finally I decided to purchase this device cause is the cheapest just to try it if gonna work with my Sony EX3 since I never up dated still read 1.03 version. I am telling you this Digigear adaptor works great out of the box I used Lexar pro 32 uhs 1. I had no issues I didn't try over nor under cranking , but so far so good I just ordered 3 more of this digger express sd adaptor. You save a tons of money. I am gonna start shooting my documentary sometimes this coming week! I' ll update you guys for any issues down the road. Excellent product I recommend it.

Only after 2 weeks of use, it bugged on me during an interview
I've bought 2 of these and only 2 weeks of usage with the first one and it's already not working, it bugged during an interview, absolutely unreliable.I use it with a Sony EX1, the last adaptor I had worked for a year, before doing some free game. So I decide to get another model, and buy 2 just to be sure, but what a crap.

a tad sticky
It does the job for a lot less than many others but sliding the SD card in is a little sticky, so wiggle it but don't force it... that just sounded bad...

This did not work
I don't even want to waste any more time with this item. All I'm going to say is look somewhere else for a working adapter.

Inexpensive solution
We already had one Hoodman SD to SxS adapter, but we need more. Hoodman was more expensive, so we thought we'd try the Digigear solution and save some $$. So far they work very well and have had zero problems. But, as with ANY SD to SxS adapter, the user should note that writing to SD adapted media is even slower that writing to a real SxS media stick, and that at a minimum, Class 10 SD cards should be used. Also, care should be taken to let the camera finish writing (wait for green light) BEFORE removing the SD card. I have had to use the camera's restore footage feature on several cards that were ejected too early.
