Vibrant rainbow sunburst
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been wanting one of these for a few years. Finally got one, and it did not disappoint!I have about 10 crystal prisms hanging in my sunroom. They scatter delightful little rainbows around the room. But this Axicon suncatcher is something else. And I mean that both aesthetically and technically. Its rainbows dwarf the little rainbow sprites from the prisms.Technically, this is not a crystal prism. If you are a teacher that wants to demonstrate how white light is diffracted into the color spectrum, this may not be what you want. But it still throws a huge sunburst of rainbows. Each stripe is its own elongated rainbow of colors. It’s very vibrant, very large, and dramatic. (Would be great for portrait photography.)This, like all prisms, HAS to be hung in direct sunlight. Not just a bright window. It’s best to hang it in a window that gets morning or evening sun, so the sunlight hits it from the side. Overhead, afternoon sun won’t work. The silver hoop that holds it is plastic painted to look like metal. But if it’s just going to be hung in a window and left alone, it should last for years.I never hang anything on suction cups anymore, so I can’t comment on those. It does *not* come with a chain or clip or anything attached. I added the chain in my video in order to hold it better.Overall, very happy with this purchase. 🙂

Beautiful Colors
I have a lot of Suncatchers and this is a favorite. So, I bought two! The Rainbow Bonus alone is worth the cost. Light hit it perfectly just this morning and colors were stunning! Excellent product.

Get it, it's amazing.
It works! When I saw this listing photo I knew it must do something special because it's not very pretty really. So I looked at the reviews and thought, it looks promising so why not? Well if you like big rainbows then you should get one. It works, and well! I can count on it daily if it's sunny out. Gorgeous big rainbows!

not as many rainbows as I hoped, but cool
So, big thing is, if you buy this, make sure you have a window where light comes in and hits the wall very distinctly at one point in the day. You need a lot of sun.I feel that they are well made, and the suction cups work well. I see very little difference between the two prism types on the wall. They both make long strokes of rainbow.Im glad I got these on sale, but I think they are still super cool if you have a good window for it. Mine only makes rainbows around sunset. When I was a kid we had glass prisms that made even bolder randomized rainbows everywhere, which I prefer, but in the day and age of buying poor quality stuff with false advertising on amazon is here so I'm glad I went to this just because they do make rainbows and it is pretty neat.

Beautiful - And The Bonus "Rainbow on Board" Sun Catcher is Particularly Awesome!
Including that bonus "Rainbow on Board" sun catcher (which is slightly larger than the Axicon Rainbow Window itself, despite appearing smaller in the picture) was a brilliant idea (pun intended). Although the glass Axicon prism is the more aesthetically pleasing and substantial of the two objects, the freebie cardboard and plastic sun catcher from Rainbow Symphony actually creates significantly more intense prismatic effects - the broader, brighter 'rainbows' that it creates are breathtakingly lovely (although not quite as crisply uniform as those produced by the Axicon prism). If you enjoy vivid colors, place these in any window or sliding glass door that receives direct, unobstructed sunlight (a southern exposure works best where I live, showering my bedroom in rainbows for much of the day at this time of year) and prepare to be mind-blown when the direct sunlight hits it!Also, thank you to those reviewers who noted that the small suction cup included with the Axicon prism isn't sufficiently strong enough for longer-term use; I'd hate to have found mine broken on the floor one day (as some others have indicated, the bezel is just chrome-finished plastic, and wouldn't survive a high-impact landing), so I mounted mine on a block of wood that I can move from windowsill to windowsill (and also position at various angles) to maximize the prismatic effects as the sunlight shifts over the course of the day.

Kind of Dissapointing
It’s ok, it only works on super sunny days and the pics I posted is the amount of rainbows we get. I originally had it on my big bay window but it didn’t work at all, even during sunset. We only get rainbows in the morning during sunrise.

Rainbows for Days
This thing works really well. It needs direct sunlight for the best effect. The rainbows are quite vivid
