Awesome!
Theyre good quality and good snug fit!Having these is so much better than slipping on ice and breaking your arm! They are easy to put on take off.Traction on snow and ice is superb! Very safe! just gotta be careful when you walk onto clean dry smooth concrete like into a factory-you must immediately take them off or you will slip THERE--its just part of it ALL sho chains will be like that. These are an awesome buy!

The perfect balance of traction and walkability - these things rock!
This is the perfect balance between traction and walkability. Spikes are fine for snowy trails, but you can't wear them to walk the dog on the sidewalks around town. The rubber slicks with the tiny metal pins grip okay on ice, but they turn the rest of the sole of your shoe into a slick surface, so you don't get the advantage of the extra traction your lugs might otherwise give in soft snow. These chains split the difference perfectly. They bite well into ice, but still leave the lugs of your sole exposed so they can add traction in soft snow. Our neighbors have sump pumps that create sheets of water over the sidewalk that later freeze. Sometimes these sheets of smooth ice are visible and sometimes they're hidden under a layer of snow. I was able to walk the dog around town without a single slip - even through areas that I'd nearly busted my rump on the day before. And when I got to a clear patch (where someone has actually shoveled their sidewalk), the chains are low-profile enough to let me walk normally - feels kind of like walking in pea gravel, which is fine. I even wore these while carving a channel by the mailboxes to let melting snow drain away from the area it normally pools - standing on 2-3 inches of solid ice while swinging a mattock, and never slipped a single time.Very easy to put on and take off too. If you need a versatile traction-enhancing device that works on a variety of surfaces, you won't be disappointed in these.

Excellent for light usage where spiked grip isn't needed, but the extra stability is desired.
Running deliveries, it was fantastic for slipping far less frequently on packed snow and ice. Plus, being easily applied and removed meant I didn't lose too much time removing to spare any business flooring. Especially as it was not as aggressive or bulky as the spike variants I've seen while looking for this.

Will purchase again
I went with this model instead of the Walk or Diamond because I figured it would provide more traction than the Walk and last longer than the Diamond. I can't say for sure if either is true as I haven't owned the others, yet, but the reviews I read ahead of purchase lead me to believe that. I have been pleased with the performance and can't believe I've spent 5 years walking dogs in WI winters without something like these. They work great on the slippery-as-ice hard packed snow on roads and sidewalks, and on rough ice. They'll slip on the hard, smooth ice but definitely provide more friction than without. My biggest complaint is that I have observed quite a bit of wear on the two chain links making up the back point of the heal triangle. This isn't super surprising considering my walks often take me over a mixture of snow, ice, and dry pavement or blacktop. I'm sure that would happen with any product of this sort. Perhaps there is a design solution that will help make these last longer than a season for people in my situation. To be clear, they haven't broken apart yet, but I feel like I need to have a spare set handy before next winter hits. Due to the price point, and the amount of safety they add to my winter walks, I'm not necessarily upset about that.

Haven't slipped once!
I love to walk but in Colorado in the winter it sometimes impossible when the snow melts and the streets turn to ice. Even with a really good walking stick with a sharp tip I'd still travel 1/5 the speed that I can now with my yak tracks. These have made it possible for me to enjoy walking in the winter again. absolutely love them. Well-made, easy to put on and takeoff, and I'm sure has saved my ass on several occasions if I hadn't had them. If needed, I'd buy them again in a heartbeat!

Best Yaktrax yet
I've been using Yaktrax since 2015. Same pair - seven seasons running and they've worked great and are still in amazing shape for how much wear they get. My wife recently was walking our husky mix in the snow and ice while I was out of town and got pulled off her feet. I told her she should use Yaktrax and ordered her a set. These newer ones with the squared off chains instead of springs are so much better and seem completely bomb proof that I ordered a new pair for myself as well.If you get ice where you live and need to walk on it, I would consider these a must have item and this is the exact model I would recommend - best performance and most durable I've ever seen.

These are great.
I’ve lived in Minnesota since 1993 and am embarrassed I’ve never purchased something like this before, since I walk outdoors year ‘round. They’re great, plain and simple, particularly on snow-packed surfaces. Ice is a different story and spikes would probably have been better for that, but that seemed like overkill. My only complaint (if you want to call it that) is that on surfaces that aren’t snow/ice covered, they remind me of the chains my dad put on his pickup truck back in the ‘70s: A bit of a bumpy ride. But when you live somewhere that’s firmly snow-packed half the year, clean asphalt is a rarity. Glad I bought these; at my age, any cheap insurance against falling and breaking my neck, hip or back is appreciated.

Works really well. Wore them on my sneakers all winter.
Bought a pair for my mum and a pair for me. Well the sizing is a bit small and I exchanged the small for an XL. Other than that they work really well. The town I am in right now doesn't plow the streets so there was about 4 inches of compacted ice on all of the roads. You could practically skate on it if it weren't for the embedded gravel. But I digress. These chains work great on my sneakers and while I had a few slippy moments they kept me from wiping out all winter. And they didn't break!

So Far So Good
I'm pleased with the performance of the chains. So far I've walked 25km over a variety of ice, packed snow and bare concrete. They haven't budged on my Keen hikers, are comfortable and grip well on all surfaces I've encountered. We'll see how long they last. The chains seem skookum enough, don't show any wear yet and the rubber is durable. So far I'm very happy.

These are great
They do not slip off your shoe at allthey stay put and give pretty good grip on ice and snow . the worst thing about most of these things is when you have to walk on bare cement . well these are pretty good on the sidewalk they do are not to noticable at all feel pretty good on bare cement as well . I have bought two pair also have the pair rubber with the metal studs they also stay on the shoes . But man on cement the studs flex feels a little unstable i got used to them but out of the two pair like these better for snow ice cement not sure if they will stand up only wore them twice so far

Decent grip
Not as good of grip as the ones with the wire wrapped around the rubber strands, but I’m hoping they last longer (a rubber strand broke on my old pair).

Best for casual/everyday use
I love Yaktrax! I wear the running spikes for winter trail running and have a pair of the chains for walking when I don't want to worry about dulling or breaking spikes on pavement or damaging surfaces with the spikes. These are quick and easy to put on and take off and I've never had a problem with them falling off. Also, they fit on a wider variety of footwear than the running-specific spikes. I recently bought a pair of chains for my 74 year-old father who makes multiple daily trips up a hill to the barn on his farm. He's tried several traction products over the years and says these are the best he's had.
