SEIKOPROSPEX Diver's 200M"Samurai" Deep Blue Dial SRPB49K1

I have quite a few watches, and this is the fourth Seiko in my collection. This is the most amazing of the bunch. It is running within 5 seconds a day, way better than most regulated mechanical watches. Everything lines up perfectly, the chapter ring, dial and bezel are all spot on. I always hear that Seiko has QC issues, but I have never seen it myself ( 4 for 4 ). The bezel is perfect, meaning it is easy to move, but it has not moved accidentally, from a jacket or shirt cuff. The bezel extends a tiny bit above the crystal, which should help reduce scratching. The date window is very easy to read, and the white background helps. The lume is amazing, and this is something Seiko always seems to get right, but the Prospex watches are better than the rest ( I own the SSC017 as well ). I think most of the photos online tend to show it as a brighter blue than it really is. I was really very happy to see that it is a nice deep dark blue, but it definitely lightens up in bright light ( I tried to put photo in different lighting conditions ). The waffle dial texture is really fantastic and was really the thing that made me want this watch.This is my first Seiko with the 4R movement, which means it has hacking and handwinding. It isn't a requirement, but I like handwinding since I have 5 mechanical watches, and tend to rotate them, so they usually need winding and set when I pick them up in the morning. I mentioned I rotate watches, but this has dominated my wrist time since I got it, and I really think it is my favorite.

I have always been a dive watch fan. When I found this watch, I figured I would look into it more. I have several Seiko's and know that they are of good quality, and will last a long time. After some research, I decided to go through with the purchase, and I have loved it ever since.Shipping was quick and easy, and everything arrived exactly as it appeared in the posting. Right out of the box I was happy with this watch and knew it would be a nice addition to my collection. Seiko claims this watch has a 41-hour life span. As with all my watches, I wound it, set the time, and set it down. I came back at around the 37-hour mark, and found it still running. Again I came back at the 42-hour mark and found it was working but it obviously was coming to an end soon. I then wound it, set the time, and placed it in my watch case, on the winder, for a week. I returned to find the watch had not lost or gained any time. I moved on to the wear and absolutely love it. This watch is not excessively heavy, however, you do have to expect some additional weight from a diver. I did not do a proper water test to ensure it could withstand the 200m rating on it, but I have yet to see it have any moisture issues during day to day wear. Additionally, I have seen some people complain about the QC on these watches, saying the hands don't line up completely, or the bezil is off slightly. I personally have not seen anything of that nature with this watch but, with anything massed produced, I'm sure there are some out there somewhere. I have shown this to several people when talking about watches and I always get compliments on it.Overall, I would absolutely recommend this watch to someone. I have several watches, both Swiss and Japanese, and this is one of my favorites. This is just a solid watch for the money and I have no complaints at all.

I have 3 Swiss watches and just bought this one. Beautiful watch, everything lines up and fits great. How can you beat this price for an automatic!! Ordered and shipped very quick from Israel. Had a question about delivery, almost instant response from dealer. Would definately buy from them again.

Great Watch. Great Value. Runs great. Put a Strapcode Oyster Band on it and holy smokes It rocks. Installing a luminous ceramic bezel next. Life is good for not that much money.

This is a beautiful watch with a very solid feel. The blue face is stunning and the steel band is comfortable. It’s heavy but I like that.

The bad:I have had three of these watches in my possession and all three of them had problems.The one from this seller worked for about 40 days and now won't run for more than an hour.Two others came from different sellers and both had filthy dials.The good:The watch that won't run has a great dial. Flawless and the plating really shines. And of course Seiko lume is bright.In closing I would advise against purchasing this watch.

Excellent watch. Very sharp. Only 4 stars because Seiko really cuts corners on their bracelets. Normally I wouldnt mind, but this watch needs to be on a bracelet. It doesnt look too great on a NATO or leather band IMO. Now I have to consider buying a more quality metal bracelet.

L’orologio lo conoscono tutti gli appassionati, basta fare una ricerca su google per capire che il seiko samurai è un must have per rapporto qualità/prezzo. Certo, non parliamo di un orologio di fascia alta perché può capitare, come a me, di ricevere un esemplare che presenti qualche difetto come la ghiera non perfettamente allineata ad esempio.In questi casi è il venditore che fa la vera differenza. Ho avuto la fortuna di comprare da New Vision Shop e non appena li ho contattati per esporre il problema, nel giro di pochi minuti mi hanno risposto con estrema cordialità ed il nuovo orologio, questa volta perfetto, è subito partito. Il reso è stato effettuato allo stesso corriere che mi ha portato il nuovo. Più comodo di così… tornerò sicuramente a comprare da loro. Davvero 🔝

Die meisten Seiko Uhren haben kryptische Nummern und erhalten deswegen schnell einen Spitznamen. Die SRPB wird Samurai genannt, weil der Minutenzeiger angeblich einem Samuraischwert ähnelt (Kenner von solchen Schwertern halten das übrigens für Blödsinn). Die Uhr ist schon in früheren Inkarnationen erhältlich gewesen und hat einen gewissen legendären Ruf (auch weil sie lange nur für Japan Domestic Market erhältlich war).Der Vorteil von einem Kauf hier bei Amazon ist der günstige Preis, der je nach Händler und je nach Armband (Edelstahl teurer als Kautschuk) schwankt, aber generell unter dem Preis beim Juwelier liegt. (ca. 500 Euro Listenpreis mit Edelstahlarmband) Nachteil ist jedoch, dass die Garantiekarte nicht gestempelt ist, und man dann im Garantiefall nicht zu jedem Seiko Konzessionär gehen könnte, und man im Fall eines Verkaufs nicht die berühmten "Box und Papiere" zur Uhr liefern kann. Bei dem Preis der Samurai jedoch ein vertretbares Risiko.Die Uhr sieht klasse aus! Das Armband zu kürzen ist jedoch etwas Tüdelarbeit, da die Stifte der Glieder mit winzigen Hülsen im Band gehalten werden, die man erst mal finden muss bzw nicht verlieren sollte! Wer nicht mit der Uhr zum Juwelier um die Ecke gehen will, wird leider nicht daran herumkommen. Das sollte man vor dem Kauf einplanen.Die Uhr ist schön schwer (mit Stahlarmband), lässt sich aber auch wunderbar mit NATO Strabs in blau/weiß oder schwarz tragen. Die Größe ist jedoch für schmale Handgelenke echt grenzwertig bzw zu groß! 44 mm sieht man schon, und der "Trend" zu großen Uhren ist längst vorbei. Eine zu große Uhr an einem zu schmalen Handgelenk sieht einfach nur angeberisch und etwas doof aus.Das Gangverhalten ist bei meiner nicht überragend (um die 15 sec langsam pro Tag) aber noch im vorgegebenen Limit. Die Automatikuhr lässt sich auch über die Krone aufziehen, was nicht bei jeder Seiko der Fall ist. Auch der Sekundenstop beim Ziehen der Krone erlaubt eine exakte Einstellung der Zeit. Das Werk ist also schon etwas höherwertig, was den Preis durchaus rechtfertigt.Die Zeiger und Indizes leuchten schön grün. Die Uhr kann also als Taucheruhr unter dem Strich auch nicht viel weniger als eine locker 15 mal so teure Rolex Submariner. Wasserdicht bis 200 m, Krone verschraubt, einseitig drehbare Lünette, Saphirglas, Metallarmband. Natürlich spielt Rolex komplett in einer anderen Liga, auf dem Papier sind die ziemlich ähnlich.Exakt dieses Modell wurde übrigens erst vor einigen Monaten von einer Uhrenzeitschrift getestet und erhielt eine ziemlich gute Bewertung. Hier kann man beim Kauf also echt nicht viel falsch machen, wenn man auf diesen Typ Uhr steht. Übrigens schwanken die Preise hier fast täglich. Ich bekam die Uhr unter 390 Euro, hatte aber den "Tiefpunkt" auch nicht ganz erwischt. Etwas beobachten lohnt sich also.

Die Uhr wurde deutlich vor dem angekündigten Datum und sehr gut verpackt geliefert. Hält man die Seiko dann in der Hand, fällt sofort das hohe Gewicht auf. Tatsächlich wiegt die Uhr ca. 200 Gramm und damit etwa 30 Gramm mehr als angegeben. Macht aber gar nichts, denn das passt zu Größe und Auftritt. Das wertig wirkende Armband wird aber für 95 % aller Träger gekürzt werden müssen, auch für Männer mit kräftigen Armgelenken. Ist das erledigt, trägt sich die Uhr sehr angenehm und entspricht auch technisch voll der Beschreibung und damit der Erwartung.Bei mir wird sie sicherlich niemals zum Taucheinsatz kommen, habe aber keinen Zweifel daran, dass sie es könnte. Als schöne, robuste Alltagsuhr mit sehr guter Ablesbarkeit, Datumschnellschaltung und Sekundenstopp werde ich wohl sehr lange Spass daran haben, zumal die Gangabweichung im Augenblick bei nur ca. 40 Sekunden in der Woche liegt.Insgesamt also eine tolle Uhr, die den Kaufpreis mehr als rechtfertigt.

Ich besitze diese Uhr nun seit einigen Monaten und kann sie mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen. Gangenauigkeit ist für eine Autonatik mehr als zufriedenstellend, ca. 3-5 Sekunden im Plus/24h.Volle 5 Sterne
