It was the HIT toy of Christmas. Both nephews and my brother played with it for hours!
I loved Capsella when I was a kid, my little nephew came across what was left of it and was interested. I was just looking for some replacement parts. Came across this, and it's basically the same fun toy I had, still good quality, and still fun to be able to see the gears working inside!

Awesome reproduction of the Capsela toy!
Overall the product is impressive and has IKEA like instructions to follow. The quality could be better in the make and it may be a little too complex for younger children. Adult supervision recommended.

Its cool. Still figuring it out
Got it to learn about mechanics. Its cool. Definitely built with little kids in mind but theres still value in it if youre cool with that.

Stronger modules, surprising variations, works just like when I was a kid!
Received as a gift. I love how so many industrial vehicles, land air and sea can be modeled with so few modular components and gear linkages! The plastic encasing modules are stronger now than I remember as a kid, built on geodesic principles. Formula car, cable car, drilling rig, boat (with added foam for flotation), you name it, this thing may well be able to model it.

Poor quality materials.
Axles are made of plastic. On first use, my kid stumbled and dropped the car he built. It fell about a foot and a half onto a soft carpeted floor and the axle snapped. The motor also seems to have very little power. It makes the wheels of his vehicles spin in the air but once on the ground they go a snail's pace for a short distance and then stop. Not the quality product it used to be when I was a kid.

STEM toy requires Quality Control
I liked the concept, but was disappointed with the performance. The supplied motor is underrated to drive any of the gear and chain alignments. Basically lacked required Torque. Out of the box the light never worked. I will be returning this item.

Works fine.
You need to use the reducing gear capsule to increase the torque of the motor. It was always this way. First lesson I learned in the mechanical advantages of gearing.
