Best oven gloves ever
This is my second set of 2 my last ones I’ve had for many years but finally thought they were should be replaced. They never let heat through great protection and I throw them in the washer

good value and do the job
bought these for my daughter-in-law as she is keen cook and I have these and knew they were good. These are excellent value compared to some and only lose one star because the fit is a little large for my hands so I don't feel they are quite as secure as my old pair. Like the fact that the heat grips are both sides so gloves interchangeable. Heat resistance great - as long as they are kept dry

Not The Real 'Ove Glove' Brand
The glove works to some extent but it's falsely advertised to actually be the famous 'Ove Glove' brand when in reality what turned up was a different packaging and glove all together, with a similar colouring and design as the original Ove Glove. It had a space on the glove where the logo and branding would have been. I purchased this to replace an original Ove Glove so when buying this you should know even though it's advertised in the photo and wording, you are not getting the real 'Ove Glove' brand

You will never go back to an old oven mitt again
These are the best oven gloves you'll ever buy. And they dont wear out. I just keep buying more and more of these as gifts for people. Everyone who sees mine loves them and wants them. For the person who has everything these are a unique and useful gift. Big fan. Two thumbs up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THIS IS THE SAME REVIEW I WROTE FOR THE LEFT HANDED GLOVE. IT IS BETTER TO COMPARE THEM SIDE BY SIDE LIKE THIS: OVERVIEW: I ordered both left and right hand ove gloves and they are slightly different. First of all, I have a lot of cast iron pans and having both heat and steam barriers is terrific! 540F degree protection will carry you through all your cooking needs from holding hot fry pan handles to taking hot items out of the oven. The steam protection is a most welcome change and improvement over the former ove glove. When the non-steam glove got wet, the heat passed through to your hand. OUCH. This glove is especially useful when using the grill. The box states that "The outer layer will not melt or catch fire if exposed to open flame, heat or steam". I won't be testing this statement by holding my gloved hand in the fireplace over a burning log or holding hot coals from my grill, but it's nice to hear. SIZE: The gloves are a little bit big for my "little lady hands" which measure 6 1/2' from my wrist to my middle finger, but they are very comfortable and flexible. I even have about 3" of protection from my wrist down on to my arm. With longer fingers and bigger hands, you will have less, of course. The gloves appear to be "stretchy" and I'm sure all but very giant man hands will be comfortable in these. DETAILS: The boxes both gloves came in were identical, except for one point which I will detail in the next paragraph. The company listed was Joseph Enterprises Inc. of San Francisco. They listed both a website and a phone number. I like that they are visible and shared their contact information. The box also states that the gloves are made in South Korea. The package insert says to machine wash the gloves regularly to remove possibly flammable grease, and to air dry. It recommends that the gloves be turned inside out so they will dry faster. This seems like a challenge to me. MATERIALS: The materials used for the gloves are, from the outside to the inside: The exterior layer, listed as the "thermal insulator" is made of Nomex and Kevlar (by Dupont). The one box states that the LEFT HANDED GLOVE is 80% Nomex and 20% Kevlar. The other box states that The RIGHT HANDED GLOVE is 86% Nomex and 14% Kevlar. I don't know why there is a difference, even though it isn't very much. I may call the company just to be a pest and ask! (I'm a retired chemist, I get curious about these kinds of things). The next, middle layer is LATEX. I don't think this would be a problem for latex sensitive people since it is not exposed, but I mention this in case it is. They call this the "steam and moisture barrier". Next, there is a cotton layer which comes in contact with your hand. MORE DIFFERENCES: The right hand glove has yellow stripes that are less yellow than the left glove, and the tag inside the glove says "Wind of Trade LLC, Henderson NV" on it. The right handed glove weighs 3.90 ounces. The left handed glove has darker yellow stripes, and weighs 4.15 ounces. QUALITY: I have noticed that on both gloves, the knit outer material is somewhat loosely knitted at the very bottom of the "v" between the fingers, and the blue latex is showing through between every finger and thumb.. I don't think this makes the gloves poor quality, but I do think this is a design/construction flaw. Unless you will be holding hot coals with ashes dropping down between your fingers, you will probably not have any issues with this. Nevertheless, I intend to take a needle and thread and sew these 4 areas on each glove. The finger tips are solidly sewn and the red gripper stripes are well attached to the knit material. OVER ALL: These are terrific gloves although, in my opinion, considerably overpriced. My , non-steam ove glove is still very usable after many years, and I think these new ones will give me many years of good use as well.

I bought 2 pairs in case one was air drying after being washed. Best oven gloves/mitts I have ever used. Very heat resistant and with the grips nothing will slip out of your hands. Elaine
