Mediocre product
These sweets are supposed to be a delicacy. I used to buy these from the Zalatimo bakeries in Amman Jordan because they offer premium product quality. This Amazon product is simply not edible. It’s like eating insipid cookies that have been sitting at the store shelves for ages because they are expensive then by the time someone could afford buying them he was rewarded by the fact that they were no longer edible. Sad purchase indeed for I wanted to give them to my grandmother as a Christmas present. Now I want my money back. I feel taken advantage of because I couldn’t return item because it’s non refundable. So don’t bother buying this piece of stale backlarva.

Ok, not that great probably because not fresh
Since Shatila went down hill using low grade ingredients and being stake most of the time, I've been testing different vendors. This one despite I'm sure fresh made is great, I wouldn't advise buying this container as it is a bit stale, lost its taste quality. Best I found in the US is BAKLAVA KING. Fresh, tasty and superb service!

Very good product.
The reviews so far are rather odd — folks seem to really love them or vehemently hate them. I don’t get it - I think they’re really good and they taste authentic and fresh. Something is wrong with the per pound pricing and I hope that Amazon will read this and fix the glaring error — this product is closer to $20 per pound, not 0.04 per pound. Anyway my only beef is that this product is overpriced - I reckon it should be around $12 per pound. Because if that, I am shopping for a more reasonable price. The Subscribe and Save price helps - it would be great if they would sell three at a quantity discount - I would buy a lot more (makes a great gift).

Fresh and Delicious !!! Perfect for a party, Perfect to gift, and Perfect for everyday!
Like many, I only review in one of the two instances- REALLY good, or REALLY terrible, and I am taking the time to write this review because these Baklavas are VERY GOOD. I got them for a party I hosted alongside Arabic mezze. They were a HIT!-Packaging & Delivery: The beautiful round tin box arrived in one day, in perfect condition, and upon opening the lid, I was surprised how ALL of the pieces were together as seen in the picture on top of the lid.-Content: They are the perfect bite size assortment of Baklavas which was the winning point! Everyone felt good trying all three assortments (and repeats) because they were small. I served with some strong Arabic coffee in Briki, and each one contained just the right sweetness for each sip of the coffee.-Taste & Freshness: Fresh, crisp, and deliciously sweet! I live in NYC, and there are a plethora of Arabic Sweet places with some outstanding Baklavas- these ones were just as good/better than many without being too overwhelmingly sweet.-Value: Local Baklavas range anywhere from $13-$18 per Lbs, and considering the pristine packaging and authentic ingredients, they are very well priced. (I froze the leftover and had them again thawed, and they were just as good!)As a lactose-intolerant, I often resort to Arabic sweets and these are one of the best ones I have had including the ones I had in the Middle East. I will be trying they Mamul cookies and Barazik & Ghreibeh, too! They are definitely making my special occasions gift list!
