Definitely quiet on my sewer pump
I can still hear the pump turning on, but the thud when it turns off has disappeared. I bought this to replace a worn out check-valve, and really had no expectations on the noise level. Frankly, I assumed it was marketing hype and glossed over it, however the number of 3" check-valves to choose from isn't a long list. It replaced the previous check-valve that had compression fittings on both sides without any pipe modifications (the space between the pipes to be glued into this valve needs to be 5"). Of course, now changing out the valve will require additional pipe work, but I hope to not be living in this property by then.

Incredible
I installed the Zoeller 3" cast iron check valve and the force of 15 feet of dynamic head caused the entire house to thump. Within a week one of the no hub couples broke and made a horrible mess. I removed the cast iron check and installed one of these - and there is such an incredible difference! A very mild thump and I am no longer worried every time I hear the pump kick on. I only wish I could send back my cast iron check.
