Rubbery
I put over 3000 miles on a classic Brooks B17 with copper rivets, a thing of beauty. It took about 400 miles to break in and become super comfy. The only issue I had with it was that over long rides of 50+ miles my feet would go numb. I hoped the Cambium would sort this issue plus it had the added bonus of being waterproof. I plonked the saddle onto my bike and did a quick 30 miles. It was comfy from the off but not as good as the B17. I decided to leave it on for our yearly Holland trip. We did 250 miles in 4 days. The longest ride was 72 miles. The saddle performed very well. I did have a little soreness on my sit bones after 40 or so miles but nothing to really worry me. The real bonus was that the numbness in my feet virtually disappeared. I put it down to the C17 being slimmer and firmer than the B17. The only downside for me is that the saddle is NOT waterproof. The cotton soaks up water but does dry reasonably quickly. I expected waterproof to mean waterproof so this is a disappointment. I am also concerned about its longevity because it's looking well worn after only 400 miles. Time will tell. Prices seem to vary hugely on the Internet and I managed to bag one for £82.00 which was a bit of a bargain.

screw in saddle rivet disappearance
I ordered this Brookes saddle almost two months ago today and noticed after I got back from a ride yesterday that one of the top saddle rivet type things was missing. Not what i'd expect from one of the best saddle makers? Guess the next stage is to contact Brookes direct?

Expensive but comfortable
Really comfy seat, attracts a few glances when parked. Have avoided saddle sores since I converted to this. Pricey, but really works.

Well worth it
What a difference a saddle can make! While it's not cheap I don't regret a penny spent on it. Comfortable over long touring distances. I have regularly ridden between 60 & 80 km with none of the issues caused by my previous saddle.
