Pros & Cons
I received this knife today and out of the box, it is very impressive. I have owned and used three other knives at about this price point and similar design, and this one is superior (so far) to all of them. Here's the pros and con and a suggestion:Pro: 1. Yes it's 50% heavier. That's because it is so solidly built. 2. It is not spring loaded and it has a safety latch to keep it from opening on it's own in your pocket. Great idea. 3. The included sharpening stone works well. 5. The knife sharpens easily and seems to hold it's edge. 5. The workmanship looks outstanding and it appears that all of the between surface connections are solid. Some people found that those connections loosened up over time. We shall see. 6. The designs on the blade are very nice. 7. the larger size of the knife facilitates it fitting solidly in the hand. 8. The price is crazy low. 9. It even comes in a box and soft cloth bag for storage.Cons: 1. It is heavier than similarly designed knives by 50%. 2. If you are looking for a spring loaded knife, this isn't it.Here's a suggestion: Every one of my other three similar knives have wood on their sides. And the wood on every one was dried out and dull looking when I received it. So I immediately put a small drop of virgin olive oil on my index finger and wiped it all over the wood of both sides, then let it soak in and repeated the process. The second time I wiped the olive oil off with a piece of paper towel after a few minutes. I repeated these steps one more time and then I repeat the process every few weeks. On this knife (and my others), the wood just soaked up the oil and ended up looking 100% better; The oil darkened the wood some so it looks richer, the grain is more defined, and the wood shines. I'm betting the wood will last a lot longer too without splitting or coming loose.SIX MONTHS LATER: I love this knife. It has become my "go to" knife. Here are the reasons.1. The blade is made of very good steel and holds its edge longer than any other knife I have.2. The weight, while an early concern, is actually an advantage. It gives the knife "heft" and for really soft things, like a soft berry or soft tomato, all that has to be done is put the knife on the item to be sliced, keep it guided, and let the weight of the knife itself determine how fast it wants to cut through. I can cut an overripened tomato by applying no downward pressure beyond the weight of the knife, and the cut is perfect and the tomato is not crushed at all.3. The wood, once oiled, looks much better.4. The belt clip is very sold. I don't have to worry about it moving or it slipping off your belt. And a few detractors...none enough to make me change my mind:1. The weight makes the knife less likely to be taken along on a long hike.2. The blade is screwed on and will loosen up a bit after a few months of use. However, a turn with a flat blade glasses or watch screwdriver tightens it up nicely and it holds for months.3. The wood will dry out if it is not vegetable oiled every few months. But it's easy to do: put a few drops of olive oil on your fingertip and rub it into the wood. Give it an hour to soak in and then rub the remainder off with a soft cloth.l. You will be amazed at the improvement.

Impressive knife
Will "impress" anyone you display this foldable knife to. About the largest of this style knife. I keep it in my car for unforseen circumstances. Really too large and heavy for every day pocket carry. Okay for backpack storage. Sharp, smooth open, beautiful to look at.

Nice looking, well made folding knife
This is a really nice first folding knife for my teenage son. It is well made. It is a little harder to close than I thought, though. It wis a really good price, for a a good looking knife.

Good overall and sturdy
It a little annoying being left handed and having to hold this in my left hand and it wasn’t as sharp as expected but it was pretty good overall and sturdy too would buy again if there was a left handed version

Knife
Strong pocket knife with a strong blade. Very nice finish and a sharp blade. Opens and secures in place. When it is in my pocket it feels nice on the hand with no rough edges

Darn
This knife is quite beautiful... from a distance that is... I had really high hope's for this knife especially taking it out of the box. It comes in a nice textured box that you open to a pretty nice sheath. Taking it out I was pleased... until I flipped the knife open is where the problems occured. It doesn't open easily with just a flip. You have to open it with your other hand. Then on top of that the blade is not very sharp. The handle is very light and pretty poorly made honestly. Then the seatbeat cutter can't even cut paper. So I wouldn't recommend this knife unless it's for looks or a beginner knife.Edit: after some sharpening the knife works fine still isnt the sharpest knife though I don't want to wear and tear the blade to much. Still a beautiful knife though.

Tightness upon opening is perfect. Safe
Perfect. Love the look.I like that it has a bit of tightness to it when you open it. It will loosen over time and you can tighten back
