The Wheel of Time

As i said before there is plenty to see and be consumed by. Personally I almost forgot everything else i needed to do those two months that I was reading the books. Sanderson's contribution moves things along beautifully, especially in the end of the book, right when you where worried the most. Things are not cut and dry, in true modern fantasy fashion, though it doesn't reach the constant bickering and plotting of Martin's books (which is a real plus for me). No, there plenty of action and the build up towards Tarmon Gaidon, as the last book of the three is in essence the beginning of the last book that Mr. Jordan wanted to write (I doubt that he would have finished everything in one book, or as my favotite Fantasy Author Steven Erikson said of his ending books the last one grew too big to be one book).

Absolutely amazing. I was recommended this series by a friend at work, and after about 3 chapters of the first book I was hooked. Rand, Perrin and Mat are all incredible heroes, each one with different virtues and personalities. The books are written fantastically, Jordan really brings all the characters to life and sets an amazing scene with a great balance of narration, dialogue and action. When Jordan died (RIP), and Sanderson takes over and finishes the series, the writing style changes, which immediately I disliked because I was so impressed and comfortable with Jordan's style, but after a few chapters I was hooked! Sanderson had a quicker paced writing style, more dialogue, more action and drama, but maintained the clarity of the fantasy world that Jordan created. Absolutely amazing, this is be a favourite series for the rest of my life and I'm sure I'll read it through and through again!

Anyone who has read the Wheel of Time series will understand. I was able to buy these books for a fraction of what they would have cost me at chapters so I am very happy with them. They allowed me to FINALLY finish the series after years of putting it off. Would use again.

Box set is fine except the third book (the gathering storm) has a bunch of text that is cut off. Would be perfect if not for this.
