A voice mic you can trust.
I like the Mic, has an on/off switch, that is very quiet.. Freq response 50Hz to 18K, compares nicely to a Shure Dynamic MIc.. Cost less than the Shure product, and it Uses XLR connections.

The FIFINE TECHNOLOGY K6 dynamic microphone offers clear recording quality at a great value!
This microphone is an ideal choice for people looking to start a venture into home recording without spending a fortune. Among it's many possible applications, it also serves well as a great all-around mic for connecting to a karaoke machine for a party, a PA system for a company function, or to a USB interface for use as a podcasting mic. The FIFINE TECHNOLOGY K6 offers a very clear sound with a "smooth" boost in the mid-range frequencies which makes vocals sound clean and present. It's overall build quality is sturdy and it has some weight to it, so it feels much more like a recording mic in a studio than a "toy" microphone that might run you about the same price if you don't shop around. It also does not require phantom power, so all you have to do is connect the cable from the end of the mic into your device (PA system, USB interface, mixer, amplifier, etc.), turn on the power switch, do some leveling tests and the microphone is ready to go! Getting everything setup on my home recording system was as simple as could be, and though I have microphones in my studio that I've paid hundreds of dollars more for, the FIFINE K6 will not be collecting dust and I will definitely continue to make use of it's clear recording quality.

Great mic at a great price!
This mic works perfectly. At first I didn’t realize there is an on/off button on the mic itself. If it does not work, make sure the button isn’t “off.” I do like this button so that the speaker can turn the mic off quickly if needed. It works great with the speaker we ordered with it. My only issue is the mic does not fit in the mic stand we had for our old microphone, but we’ll just replace that too.

Interesting response curve with a few flaws.
I got the K6 on a whim because if was one of the Amazon deals. Who can resist a good sale, right? It has a response that's pretty heavy on the low end, which could be a problem with male voices or PA rigs that are already bass-heavy. But I mainly got it as another tool in the toolbox for home recording. I find that I quite like the emphasis on the low and in situations where I want to have a little distance between me and the mic. It gives just a bit of the proximity effect of an SM58 type mic at 4-5 inches as opposed to 1-2 inches with the SM58. Sensitivity is comparable to other mics, and here is where I ran into issues. I decided to compare the K6 to some of my other mics to get an idea of how well it would do in a recording scenario. Because of the inherent problems with mic sensitivity, gain staging and noise floor, I use a FET booster for my dynamic and ribbon mics. If you don't use a cloudlifter or fethead you really, really should. In this case, I was using a fethead. The K6 worked fine plugged directly into my mixer. But when I added the fethead, my signal went dead. I decided to pull the XLR connector out of the mic body and have a look see. The wire that should have been soldered to pin 3 was instead soldered to pin 1, and there was a wire soldered from pin 3 to pin 1 and then to the case. After correcting this the mic worked as it should with the fethead. Two small quibbles regarding build quality. The XLR connector does not seat well in the body of the microphone. I had to hold it straight with needle-nose pliers to get the set screw back in. It's almost like it was an afterthought. The other minor issue is the switch. If you bite your fingernails you may become quite frustrated with it. A thumbnail works well enough. But if you just try to slide your finger or thumb over the switch it doesn't want to budge. I suspect that most people would be tempted to try pressing harder on the switch. Seriously, don't do that. This is how things get broke. The bottom line is I do like the sound of this mic, but I've used better ones even at this price point.
