Hi Everyone. This is a game changer device. So easy to shake out old charcoal and reuse. I removed the bottom grate and just have this slotted in above my ash tray. Creates extra ventilation to get to very high temp -- I've take mine to 750F+ since installing for a steakhouse sear. I use this in a Kamado Joe Class 2 - 18" and it fits great (small gap around the outside, but does not effect the performance). Well built and sturdy construction.

I had been wanting a kick ash basket for my Large Big Green egg for a while and came across this. I decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did. So far it has worked fantastically, and saved me a good bit of money vs going with the KAB.

All the advantages of the Kick Ash basket and half the cost.

This is not for a large egg. This is for a medium egg.

I like3 this basket a lot. It makes cleaning the BGE so easy between cookouts. I just lift out the basket and shake over an outside area or a trash can. All the ash or snall bits fall away and leaves you with good usable chunks of charcoal. A quick scrape or vacuum of the ash in the now open botton, but the basket back in and add charcoal if needed and ready to go again.

Use it for my green egg, cleanup is easy but does let smaller pieces of charcoal get through. But just my opinion, it's a little expensive for what it is, but it is nice to have.

Could be bigger, but fits OK in the Kamado Joe Classic. Basket is very solid, not what I thought it would be from the photos.

This basket fit my large Big Green Egg perfectly and held enough lump for a 14-hour brisket cook. The product has stood up to the heat and it makes clean-out a snap. And a clean Egg allows better airflow and a better fire. No problems with the quality or workmanship.

Using with a Kamado Joe Classic. No problem at all with fit. Yes it seems a bit small but it still holds plenty of charcoal. This basket makes it so much easier and faster to get the fire going. Just lift and shake the ashes off, put it aside to rake the ashes through the bottom grate, replace and light. Air flow is much better and more consistent.

Extremely pleased with this purchase. Cleanup is way easier and the air flow through the BGE is much improved. I bought the ash drawer as well, and I am now back in love with my BGE.
