I am trying to buy a plaid skirt for a halloween outfit. if i am 5'3 and 140lbs would this skirt work for me if i ordered the larger size?

I bought the size 8 for my 4' 55lb seven year old. Probably not going to work for you, but there's always free returns...

Are there shorts attached to the skirt?

Yes. There are no pleats in the back though. In the back the skirt goes straight across and lays flat over the shorts underneath.

What's the difference between a 12 and a 12 plus?
