Can I install this inside my garage and connect to outside heating cabel?

wherever this unit is... that is where the temperature is going to operate from. So if it warmer inside your garage the unit isn't going to work right.

Will this heavy-duty enough to operate a 100 stock tank heater thermostat?

I can tell you the Thermacord has multiple uses but I cannot answer this with absolute certainty. I had some questions about the Thremacord also and I called Radiant Solutions directly and they were very courteous and the support staff answered my concerns. I suggest you give them a call with the question.

What guage is the extension cord?

The ThermaCord is a 14/3(14 AWG wire size) SJTW cord.
