Recently bought 36 set inktense pencils .What to say ...its Outstanding pencils,Superior and distinctive quality than any other watercolor pencils.It's not watercolor it's ink color pencils.Pigments are actually ink based i think.Colors are bold and vibrant even in this 36 color box.May be 72 pencils sets have more colors.Yellows,blues ,greens,oranges all are glowing,another advantage over other watercolor pencils is after wet the colors become dried and permanent ,so we can add other colors over them and make some translucent effects.

Packaging by Cloudtail:Again like polychromos, this package too arrived with the pencil tin directly added to an Amazon plastic bag. It was dented slightly but since Derwent tins are of better quality, there was zero damage to the pencils.@1799/- , 36 set from Cloudtail was a steal at this price.Pros : (Ref: 'Vada paav' painting ☺)1) Intense colours after adding water2) 36 pencil set has a good range of colours , no flesh tones though. Might be possible after mixing individual colors(need to check)3) Very soft core , laying of colour is very smooth and a little is enough if you will be adding water.4) Fabric designs are possible since inks are supposed to be dye-based. Tested writing initials on a T-shirt and it worked out okay after washing.Cons:1) Colour coding on end of the barrel is closer to after adding water and doesn't always match the visible core. Better to create colour swatches with water added to them as reference.2) Inks are staining so need to be careful with wearable fabrics.Note: Must buy for Art splurging , lol 😊. I might get the inktense block set as well.

Bought for fabric outlining and tee designs but it bleeds...used base aloe Vera gel and alum wash but it totally fades after washes. Best is for paintings on 100% watercolour paper 300gsm

As pencil colors: They are beautifully smooth, blends just the way you want, gives you the sense of roughness that pencil colors have until you apply more pressure for a richer, more dense, and silky smooth shade.As water-soluble pencil colors: A tiny bit of color on paper will give you a good amount of coverage when water is applied. The first layer will appear flat, as is with most watercolors, but you won't be disappointed at all.(I LOVVEEE the smell and feel like sleeping on them, I love the colors so much. The purple body is super elegant and the touch of the color feels like clay. )

Liked the set, but only 35 pencils are water soluble. The 36th pencil 2400, Outliner in the set is a normal graphite pencil & not water soluble. Derwent could indicate these details properly in product page or on the tin box so that it is clear to customers.
