Bright
This is a bright light but the beam cannot be focused. It is more of a flood light than spot light.

It DOES ZOOM, look at video on description to see how to work it.
To Zoom you must pull OUT on the lens. See the video in the photos of the description.Many claim it doesn't zoom but they probably tried to twist the lens instead of pulling it out.It's great that it can work on NON rechargeable too. If you have a power failure and then find your rechargeable light is NOT charged, it's not a problem with this. Also you can always put in rechargeable AA batteries so it's the best of both worlds. How many people keep all things charged?

Excellent Headlamp
The light is extremely bright which is exactly what I needed. My only complaint is it tends to slide around on my hair because the battery pack material is slick, so I have to really tighten it; however, it's totally worth it. It's also heavier than the ones that only use AAA batteries and provide less light.

it does zoom-just give the base and the lens a strong tug apart
Give a strong tug between the base and the lens to get it to zoom out. Do not unscrew the lens as you will wind up the wires inside and pull them out. Great light for the price

Nice light, but does NOT zoom.
It's a nice light. It's bright. It takes 3 AA batteries, not AAA like the description says. It does NOT zoom like the description says. Overall a good value.

Works great
I did a prior terrible review of this product, and it was my fault. I inserted the wrong battery...AAA instead of AA, of coarse they did not work.Actually, I have used about 10 different head lamps, and this is my favorite one. I was reluctant to go to the 3 straps AA, they look a lot heavier, and I like the light headpiece. I usually wear a cap, I could barly notice the wieght change from the smaller headlamps, even though it 'looks' a lot heavier. I can't give any scientific data, but the hours are much long on the AA. It would bet twice as long...you can really notice the difference.The best part though is that new technology, where the beam is super tight in a circle, used to inspect things at night. Has a great zoom feel, easy on off, but the beam is really delightful, less strain on seeing the specifics at night . Bet headlamp I have ever uses.

Awesome & bright
BRIGHTEST headlamp Ive ever had - and I’ve had dozens for Boy Scout camping. Great battery life too. Fits my giant head completely comfortably.
