Autoleads PC99-X32 Stalk Adaptor Vehicle Lead for LR Disco

Just follow the instructions and it's great worked first time and remember you have to buy the stalk adapter for the relevant stereo separately.

As I've come to expect from Autoleads, this lead is easy to fit and works perfectly. I had first checked the Autoleads website to make sure this was the correct lead for my vehicle (2002 Freelander). 2 leads were available, this one for steering wheel controls and another one that did not support steering wheel controls. My radio supported the steering wheel controls and Amazon were offering this cheaper than anyone else so this was the one for me. Unfortunately the product description didn't mention the need for an Audio specific steering control adaptor lead to connect to this lead but again, Autoleads make one of them too - in my case a PC99-Ken for Kenwood audio - and had I been fully informed then I could have ordered it at the same time. Amazon's delivery was exceptional. I picked the free delivery option and the product arrived within 3 days!!The reason for a 4 marking rather than a 5, is the need to get a male bullet electrical connector to complete the wiring of the two adaptor leads. Not an issue for me but could be for someone (lets say) less practical than me. Maybe something for Autoleads to think about including in their PC99-Ken pack. The other reason for a 4 marking is the instructions are correct but a little confusing and I'm sure some people will have trouble following them - I had to read them 4 or 5 times to make sure I did things in the correct order.But other than those criticisms, my new radio works fine and responds correctly to the steering wheel controls - so job done. Purchased Multistalk adaptor which does not work and on ringing the Armour Automotive number on Autolead packaging I am told it never will. They have stated, after giving them the details of vehicle make and model that this is sold as suitable for,I am told that this will not work on model and vehicle year!!! Armour have verbally stated on 17th October that they have NO adaptor to fit this vehicle and stalk controler - ITEM NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!!! The information they have given regarding this product states that it is a multistalk adaptor but does NOT work on all the vechicles and years stated. The stalk adaptor is a total waste of money and the description given is totally misleading and incorrect. The only way to solve this problem would be for :a) to give the correct information covering all vehicle variations of radio connections before purchaseb) to acknowledge that Armour should have been contacted first before making any purchasec) further expense could have been avoided by myself in pursuing the information that should have been provided in the first instance.THE PRODUCT IS A WASTE OF MONEY - NOT FIR FOR PURPOSE AND IN BREACH OF TRADES DESCRIPTION ACT, ETC
