I bought the Mi Beard trimmer in October 2019.. just to trim my mustache. Normally, I would get a mustache trim when I go for my haircut and then manage with a scissors till the next barber visit. But I thought a trimmer would make things easier and faster. After I bought it, I used it maybe once every 10 - 15 days for the next few months ... and did not think much about it. Fast forward to March 2020; the lock downs started and barber visits were out of the question. I had already been postponing my haircut before the lock down, so by April 2020, I had irritatingly long hair. I thought, if the trimmer can work for beards, it should work for a hair cut as well. If it didn't work, or if I had to stop mid way, worst case scenario, I could just use a razor and shave off my head. Charged the Mi Trimmer fully and with a little prayer, I tried giving myself a hair-cut / trim. The going was slow... since this is a small trimmer and I had to stop every few minutes to clean the comb attachments.. but slowly and steadily I managed to give myself a neat trim ! - I thought "Good... since I would spend around INR 200 for every barber visit, using the Mi trimmer for six hair trims would mean that I would have recovered the entire cost of the unit. (I bought it at the launch price of INR 1199). Since then, I have managed to use the trimmer 6 times for a hair-cut and several times for the normal mustache trims; and it's been full paisa vasool. Literally :) Pros --------- It is a really well built unit. Nice to use. Very ergonomic. Battery easily lasts for at least 60 minutes of use after a full charge. The blades and other external components can be removed easily for a thorough cleaning. The length adjustment is quite simple and effective. The water proof construction makes it easier to just wash the unit in the sink. (I rinse it with RO drinking water before allowing it to dry.. that way you can avoid salt deposits.) Cons --------- None really. What about the blades heating up ? ------------------------------------------- That is normal. Back in my college days, I had an expensive Braun shaver, with a trimming attachment.. and that would heat up too. After all, the blades are rubbing against each other; and the friction is bound to heat them up. Yes, the machine becomes a little noisy after a few uses.. especially when the blades are warmed up. I realized that I can fix the heating and the noise issues easily - I just apply a minute amount of Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) to the blades (The point where the two blade plates rub against each other - not the blade teeth.) This solves the heating and noise issue very significantly. The only issue it that small hair particles may get stuck on the Vaseline and need to be cleaned out. All in all, this is a great little device. I am very happy with it and I rate it at 5 stars - after around 1.5 years of usage. BTW, there seems to be another similar looking newer version hair trimmer by Mi. But that doesn't seem to be water proof. So, this model is worth the extra amount.

Everything is good but the price was too high. You can get the same trimmer in very low price from official site of MI.

Do not buy, battery is faulty in all. Got it replaced and same thing happened again wont recharge, total waste of money
