Pommery Meaux Mustard Stone Jar, 17.6-Ounce

Let me begin by saying that I find mustard just OK, generally, and I’m not typically a fan of spicy food. Having said that,I’ve eaten this mustard for many years, more years than I can count. The quality is fantastic and insurmountable. This is a mustard you could eat straight from the jar, it’s so freaking good. It has just the right amount of spice, the right amount of vinegar, it’s absolutely perfect. I use this on anything I want to put mustard on - from gourmet foods to hotdogs to eating it straight out of the jar. It’s just wonderful. I’ve never had a bad jar, either. The heavy stone crockery jars are very heavy & durable and you can easily reuse them afterward for other things. If you’re looking for a top worldwide mustard, one that will ruin you for any other mustard, you want this one.

Discovered this mustard in France and was delighted to see it on Amazon. It arrived and the exterior of the jar had what appeared to be dried mustard. I washed the jar, opened it, and the mustard inside was perfect. Others complain about how hard it is to open, did not find this to be the case at all. A delicious mustard at a reasonable price. Recommended!

This mustard is a very grainy delicious mustard. I have a mustard sauce recipe that calls for this type of mustard and this is the best. I’ve tried it with others but they don’t have the tang that this mustard has. A very important part of the recipe. Also, can’t always find it in the store so great that Amazon carries it! Love it!

This has to be the best mustard in the world (if you enjoy seedy mustard)! This mustard has been produced in France for hundreds of years using a very simple recipe. It is packed a in a small earthenware crock, that alone sells it! But beware, the original packaging had a cork top that was sealed with wax. Very unique! But to make it easier for our commercial friends, it now comes with a choice of a plastic fitted lid, or the original cork.I was kind of disappointed when I tried to open mine and realized it was plastic. The cork seems more authentic!But despite all that, this mustard is the best on the market!

The mustard pot was covered in mustard, perhaps from another one that had broken. The seal on this one was not broken. I had to wash the mustard pot.

I didn't pay attention to the size in the description so was surprised how big the jar is and how much more I got for the money! Taste great too

I haven't had this brand in a few years and I thought it was a coarse grain style with fully intact mustard seeds. It's a little bit smoother than some other brands but I was expecting the round seeds and a little disappointed. Flavor is very good though.

What real mustard flavor, worth the extra dollars to buy the best.
